A convicted rapist was told by police that he may of contracted HIV from one of his victims and is currently waiting for test results to confirm he contracted the disease or if he has not contracted it....

Well Karma always gets you in the end and it would serve him right. However as another poster said, I hope he didn't have sex with or rape anyone else after he potentially became infected. |

Sorry I was tired when writing the post...However I just found myself thinking that if he has contracted it that he does not go on a mass infecting spree knowing he has contracted it and spreading it... |

It's harder for a woman to pass HIV onto a man then it is for a man to pass onto a woman..due to the make up of our sexual organs...it's also a 1 in 100 chance of catching HIV from a one night stand if that person is HIV+ dependant on viral load etc...that is with penetrative sex...There is 1 in 30 chance of contracting HIV anally after a one night stand...risks are higher if there is tearing or woman is on her period etc...HIV is not an easy Disease to catch however you still can catch it from having sex with a person once..
