As a confirmed 60's Mod...I wondered how many out there were of the same era and joined in the "fab 60's" with a scooter.

Mine was a Vespa 180ss with all the trimmings 16 mirrors fly screen with initials loads of chrome you can see similar in "quadrophenia" the film.

The big decision at the time was Lammy or vespa both were fashion icons both had their good and bad.

And in those days you didn't need a crash helmet you would just strap it to the back pannier to look good....stupid when you look back !!.

I put my scooter registration in to google and it re'directed me to d.v.l.a website where you can find out what happened to your trusty bike sadly mine was scrapped in 1998.

They say if you can remember the 60's then you probably weren't there ....very untrue.

The SX 200 was indeed the top of the range in " lammys " very very fast the model after that took over but never kicked of was the GP 200.

Wallasey

I had a Mk II Lambretta Li 150 and used to dream of the TV175, the SX200 or even the GP200. I seem to recall the head boy at school having one bored out to 233.

You must have been a young owner, the sixties finished when you were 14.
