... and have you made the most of the season?

As the air begins to carry a chill and the nights draw in, do you find yourself thinking "I wish I'd made time to do that"?

What do you wish you had done?

Angus & Findhorn

I have had a great summer, really enjoyed every minute. It is cooler now but still a few more warm days before Winter arrives. I love Winter too.

Autumn is my favourite season, so still lots of great walks, chilled out warmish days watching the people on the beach.

all good here

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I've made sure I've been out and about when the weather has been good, but without a car it's hard to get to the really lovely places. Like View, I am an Autumn fan so plenty more to do, especially picking sloes for some nice sloe gin.

I also have a week in Corfu to look forward to!

Love each season in turn, for different reasons, but will miss the sultry summer evenings. Bren and I enjoyed a wonderful hilltop evening the other day Rich

I wish I had gone to the social earlier in the summer but I was really busy with work. I am down for the Sheffield one so I am looking forward to that...

I think I would prefer a non dress code one anyway.

I reckon so. I don't think I've turned down any invitations and I've organised a few things for myself and others.

I certainly noticed a chill in the air last night. A jumper was needed for the first time since about late May.

I have been doing work on my house and have achieved lots. I wish I'd put more shrubs in the garden, but gardening is my least favourite thing and I planted shrubs in pots and containers instead.

I did start to plant a border so a small section has been planted on the lawn area.

I'm in Greece next week so summer not ended quite yet for me

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I've had a good summer. I could have done more but I enjoyed a lot of the doing less.

The strawberries and raspberries were really lovely this year and I've had lots of watermelon. Now it's time for all that corn on the cob.

I took my summer sabbatical last year and pretty much wasted it... or at least it felt that way. I found myself thinking "I wish I'd done that" a few too many times.

So this year I made a list of things to do ... and I'm chuffed to say they have all been ticked off

Whilst I have been busier than ever, the amazing thing is.... I've had even more sex

More outdoor sex, you just can't beat it

More camping would have been good, but my health hasn't permitted. So I have a to do list for next summer which includes lots of camping with friends (fab and nilla) wild swimming whenever possible and more prosecco and champagne.

Your post, from Northumberland, reminds me I didn't manage my usual trip to Rothbury this year

That sounds great. More time seems to emerge for things like sex if you plan things and are busy.

Enjoy your autumn too.

Torquay

It's been a bumper summer for the West Country, visitor numbers are amongst the highest in the last Ten years, which has been terrific for the local economy.

On a personal note it has been a summer of work and more work, all carried out under rather challenging high temperatures, but that has also made for some fantastic warm evenings spent outside with friends and family.
