i guess it is a little bit funny in the crudest sense of the word but i really feel its too soon for such black humour, especially considering he took his own life, its really very sad. |

Sorry, but I find these kind of jokes totally in bad taste and not the least bit amusing. I deal with bereaved families on a daily basis, and have on many occasion had to deal with families who loved ones had committed suicide. Ask his family and close friends if they think its funny, would you think it was funny if someone made a joke about a member of your family that had died in a tragic way? I think not! |

Until tonight, I never realised that there were so many good wholesome people on here who have never laughed at a dodgy joke before ..
Just goes to show how sheltered my life has been |

So, all you "holier than thou" people have never laughed at a dodgy joke??? Bullshit!
For people who are British citizens, you know nothing about this land!! The British have a long history of joking in the face of adversity, it is a coping mechanism for gods sake!!!
And to the poster who says she has to deal with the bereaved all day... My uncle was an undertaker who had to deal with families only minutes sometimes after a loved one passed away. He used to have some really black jokes between him and his staff, but it helped them to cope with their situation.
Trouble is that people like those against the posting of jokes like this have listened too hard to the politically correct! |

People get over tragic situations in their own way, don't knock it.
As for the joke, it clearly says on the thread title what the thread is going to be about.
People don't have to open the thread if they think it is going to offend them? |

when the reports about tiger woods crashing into a tree started coming in i said they would not be able to see the woods for the tree. judging by the reaction in the chatroom you'd have thought i'd killed him. |

The thing about death jokes is that the one person guaranteed NOT to get upset over it - is the one who's dead! So why do other people get arsey over it? |

Fair do's, I take your point - it was signposted as a joke but like Rugby also said about how we deal with tragedy, I certainly did not think I would be here as part of my dealing with things... |

OK, I can understand someone who was on here as a couple coming back on to chat with people if their spouse dies. BUT... To come onto a swinging site to get over your spouse is a bit unusual to say the least, especially as it is still so raw that a joke about someone not known upsets you so much that you feel compelled to comment on a forum!
But in the politically correct world we live in I have to say that I won't judge and each to their own!!!!!
But, the joke was funny in a morbid way to me and if you don't like it... move on! |

People react in different ways _umour, if this is this mans way of coping who are we to argue or judge.
But you are right, bad taste jokes will always make someone laugh or at least snigger behind their hands, I am sure we have all done it at some point. |

My last comment... I do know that I love my wife so much that I would not even think of joining a swingers site if I hadn't been on one with her! Maybe after a period of time I might, but certainly not when I was trying to get over her! And I certainly wouldn't have mentioned it in a forum cos it looks like asking for a pity fuck!
As a member already, I would come on here to chat to the many friends we have made on here, for comfort. But playing? No way for a long time! Maybe I am just lucky that I have the perfect partner for me so I will go now and shut the fuck up!!! |

Bereavement effects each and everyone differently, what's wrong with coming on here for a little distraction?
You've posted what YOU would do, fair enough, the member has done what he wanted to do, I doubt it's up for discussion or negotiation. |

I too had the perfect partner for me and was widowed... that's why I swing, no-one will ever be loved by me in such a way ever again... no strings no commitment just sex in it's most basic form. I have a basic need for sex, just like I do for food.
Love was and still is for my deceased partner. xxxx |

Here we go again......people judging other members for what they do in their personal life, we can only live one life folks....that's out own.
No sense in trying to judge everyone else or second guess their reasons for doing what they do, best to get on with our own lives. |

It’s a joke. Some will find amusing. Others will find a little in bad taste. What you can do is look at who posted what and figure out who is or isn’t on the same wave length as you. What you do have to take in mind though some post just for the attention and will not post what they think but what will get them the best reaction. |

Lesson to Jim! No matter what you get called and no matter what anyone else says.. Fight your corner mate! Unless you have been swayed by reasoned argument, stand your ground. Just cos I think that if you can't see a joke it is too early to get into swinging, doesn't mean I am right! It is just my opinion!
You will know when you have finally got into the forums... You will be able to stick pins in your skin and it won't hurt... Fare thee well jimbo |

"No, it`s mine"
"Let me have it"
"It`s my turn"
"You had it last night"

ok ok so I love sick jokes, whoopeee
It is only humour, some people use it to get over tragedy.
How many jokes have you heard in your lifetime.
Now, how many were not jokes at someone else's expense ?
mother in law
disabled
death
the list is endless, it doesn't mean we don't sympathise with those at the butt of the joke, but it's just a joke |

We all have different opinions, if you're not keen then don't get too touchy, move along.
This goes out to those that ranted the joke offensive, and those that ranted otherwise.
It's a joke, get over it.

My friend text me this joke last night. I didn't find it funny simply because I was feeling unwell yesterday, had just dropped off to sleep and the phone woke me. Reading it here now, feeling a little better - I still don't find it funny!!
It doesn't offend me I just don't find it funny - humour is subjective after all |
