This and I'm told The space program has all but ground to a halt and much of The NASA work force has had to find proper jobs . |

reckon it definitely happened based on buzz aldrin punching a reporter who suggested it wasn't

Could be a very short sighted attitude. When resources become scarce you widen your search, dig deeper and in more inaccessible places, drill for oil in deep water, go to the back of beyond, like Antarctica (and despoil it) or mine the asteroids, for example.
We should be able to take the long view |

I have no doubt it happened just as reported on the all dates where the mission was to put a man on the moon… ,,,,,
But I do think there is sufficient evidence to suggest some of the photographs and moving images we’ve been presented with over the years, may have been earth-bound re-enactments of the actual events on the lunar surface.

There is only one reason we dont go back.
COST the cost of sending a single bottle of water into space is approx. £250,000.
The cost of going to the moon is around £1 trillion.
As the USSR is no more and the USA is all but bankrupt.
Who is going to pay for the trip.
After all,we cant do bugger all on it if we go,so it would only be a pleasure trip. |

I think it did happen, it didn't really achieve a great deal. It won't happen again by the USA as it was really just a very expensive game of Top Trumps between Russia and the USA. I read somewhere a few years ago that Japan were planning a mission to the moon and would be able to investigate the USA's landing site etc as they've left stuff up there.
The conspiracy theories do at times sound convincing, Lots of good photographs considering that the cameras had no viewfinders and were mounted on their chests, shadows etc.
They were tracked by radar by several countries the USSR being one of them I would imagine and if they could have thrown doubt on it, I'm pretty sure they would have. |

Chris Kraft, the retired NASA chief, responsible for putting the first man on the moon reckons the US should do so again.
The Chinese have also set out a plan to do so. Maybe US pride will kick in again.

It must be harder to put satellites in space at the correct orbit than land on the moon ...
I think people who don't believe are just miserable and believe in human spirit an endeavor |

I imagine that Private Space companies will give it a try. Especially if they can make any money at it. Think of this, Elon Musk and Donald Trump, Co-owners of a hotel on the moon. |

Anyone who believes that men haven't landed on the moon are delusional. Conspiracy theorists are people with too much time on their hands. |

"so why do the russians want to go the moon
to see if the us ever been there n prove the world it was all a hoax "

There's a great article debunking the "it's all a hoax" crap. Essentially the goat was that although we had the technology to get to the moon we definitely didn't have the technology to fake it. |

They should both go at the same time and have a proper space race |

There conspiracys about this for year, (funnly enough since it happened) there also people who say that buzz was the earths ambasidor to meet aliens who have a base or plateform up there, and some of the transmtions made by them to huston suggest they saw things that should be up there. But yes I (bull) believe that we did go to the moon and most of the ones that don't are deeply religous |

I am a conspiracy theorist, and it's just not credible that so many Americans could be involved in a hoax and not sell the story! So therefore I am convinced they went and landed on the moon.
Then probably started the conspiracy theory that they faked it all to keep the conspiracy theorists busy and stop them finding out that the costs came out of their pensions |

Lol you sound like a script developer for men in black
You've got to remember that the moon landings were a HUGE undertaking and would have involved 10,000 people plus. For them all to have kept quiet when we can't even keep secrets that are dull out of the press then in suspect they did indeed go! |

All the one's I know are confirmed atheists. Where did you get that statistic and what's religion got to do with this? I'm genuinely puzzled by this. |

10,000 people may have worked on aspects of the mission but what if they like the rest of the world were just being duped as a cover story of 'we were involved in it' to keep everything seem legit, let's not forgot here THOUSANDS of people worked on the atomic bombs yet only a select few actually knew what they were making/doing and the true objective, the workers had no idea.

" Unless you are saying the Abomb explosions didn't happen I can't see how you can draw an analogy between the two. |

Not concerned about the fringes of the 10,000 I don't believe you could find 100 people who can keep quiet for all these years. Nothing you can say will convince me that they didn't land on the moon and the real conspiracy is who made up a conspiracy theory to cover up the fact they spent the healthcare and pensions budget doing it. |

Except that one was kept a secret because of what they were doing and the other wasn't kept a secret because they didn't want it to be. |

No, it turns out they didn't have the right planning permission and the man from the council made them take it down again |

it would make far more sense to have a space station on the moon than the international one floating around.
at least then there is no fear of a degrading orbit and it landing in your living room in the middle of corrie in 20 years time lol |

That's why I said most, from what I read and watched that's what the impression I got. I didn't say they all were, and I can't see how people would think it was a hoax to being with tbh |
