Anybody doing the tough mudder challenge next year? For those who don't know, it's a 12 mile assault course including underwater pipes, lots of climbing and running and electic cables to run through

I'm doing the yorkshire event mid 2014 so after xmas its going to be healthy eating, hard training and less drinking

Not done Tough Mudder but did the Tough Guy challenge 3 years ago and planning on doing the summer one next year and may have a look at the winter one year after.

Tough Mudder looks similar to Tough Guy and all I can say is stamina and strength is the key as you find your stood waiting to go over obsticles a lot of the time

Good tip. Never thought about the waiting around. Looking forward to doing it though, its more of an excuse to get back in shape. Weekends full of beer and kebabs are starting to take the toll

I've got to loose a stone and a half, ideally two. Starting tomorrow in week is going to be split up between running, cycling and swimming with upper body strength conditioning when I loose some weight. Going to miss a beer at the weekend as only allowing myself 2 on a Saturday

Let us know how you are doing

Good luck, the knack is to pace yourself. Have fun and I bet you will be itching to do it again

Well I'm hoping to get in lots of training, I'd like to be one of the first 10% to cross the finish line so I can go to worlds toughest mudder. That looks like fun

Its not about timing at the mudder its about teamwork. Your only as fast as the slowest member of your team. Unless your superman im not sure you could do all the tasks yerself. Im planning to do it next year along with my partner his two brothers and one of their gfs. I was very proud when they did it this year for the first time on very little training in about 3 and a half hours.

I get that, but someone has to finish in top 10%, and I want one of them to be me
