How do you feel if you receive first contact emails from members who sign off with 'love from...' 'lots of love from...' and in one case 'all my love from...' (?? ALL of it???)
I think oh oh! to be honest. My immediate reaction is he's a bit needy - is this wrong of me? But in my mind its a bit too casual a use of such an important word. Or has love become a cheap commodity now to be added in an email this way?
I am very sparse with the use of it in written notes unless I'm actually sending love or showing love to those I DO love.
What do I prefer then? Well not yours sincerely around here thats daft. Sincerely is ok.. tho but a bit wet. Regards and kind regards is nice. Affectionately is ok too cos you can feel some form of affection towards someone from the outset, best wishes is nice but if someone has written love from to me, I am not gonna reciprocate. Nobody here is gonna ever sign Yours faithfully hahahahhahah!
Also,I am a bit reticent about kissing any old person who thrusts forward to plant one on each cheek if I have only just met them through work or whatever. Yet everyone seems to be dishing out this kind of greeting. Even with my French roots we only really kiss people we know well.
Seems a bit odd to ask your views on such an innocuous thing as a little peck on the cheek as most of us, within minutes of meeting someone from this site, realise they want to put their head up your skirt almost immediately! I would probably kiss someone I have met from here as a greeting when we first meet, because we would have had email and msn/phone convo by this time.
Under other circumstances though I think a warm handshake will suffice until you get to know each other better. If kissing is ever appropriate with colleagues etc.
Im a really loving person, but I'm not comfortable being touched by those who haven't been invited to do so and wish the exuberent greeter, would take a step back and think about those of us who feel that way, before they pucker up.
Over to you....

I usually end my messages with several paragraphs of begging and grovelling
PS,
to answer your question, any message professing love will be filed in the " bunny boiler " file, ( we don't shred those, we keep them incase forensic evidence is ever required ) |

hahahahahah! Yes my instinct is similar, as I said. I just think automatically signing off with love demeans affection and if you're known for loving everyone how can your true love be distinguished for those you truly love if everyones umbrellad under a cloud of pouring love. It then becomes mawkish I feel. |

"Im more of a mwahhhhhhhh person
or " big lix " "
Eurgh I have a set of air kissing 'friends' who use it as a social climbing tool and it makes my stomach turn, but I love to sit and watch mwahs and hugs from genuinely affectionate girls who are really pleased to see their mates and not afraid to show it. Heartwarming. |

Gosh absolutely nothing - its expected when meeting someone from a sex website - but not the md of the company youre hoping to do work with - thats an entirely different thread for another day |
