kill an animal, not unless it is for thier own benefit, my survival, there is no other choice.
kill a person - easy - no remorse
Why, because animals just do thier own thing, what comes naturally, human beings put themselves in that position through greed. |

Because deep down, at some point in the past another human ( mother/ father/ sibling/ partner/ other ) have hurt them in some way, perhaps a lack of reciprical love,perhaps a lack of empathy or physical understanding of an emotional requirement that has not fully been explored to a satisfactory conclusion.
Then the unconditional "love" that an animal can appear to show has an attraction to help fill a void in the emotional being that all humans are pre-programmed to have.
OR
It could be animals are just fluffy and cute 
Or possibly that animals are tasty depending on how you defined "sympathy ", EG some pigs are " sympathetically " reared to taste good with certain types of wine  |

listened to a radio program a few weeks back about some guy who had jumped into the sea to save some old dear's little dog that was blind and she was walking it off the lead next to a sea wall. Both the dog and the guy where ok !!!!
but some woman rang in and said if it was a straight choice between her dogs or anothe human being ...well the dogs would win as they loved her unconditionally !!!!
IMHO these people are sad lonely unloved and quite possibly effin barmy !!!
Whatever you say about us humans and some of us dont need to be saved, but animals are just that animals and they have no allegiance to anyone,or anything,just themselves.
Gonna leave all my money to the cats home lol |

Perhaps because animals have no concept of revenge or inflicting pain except on a kill or be killed level.. therefore theres no malice aforethought.
Humanity can often inflict these things just because they are wicked or for their own amusement... maybe thats it, animals are more base and instinctive and don't 'think' or have 'emotions' so people can relate to that on a simpler level emotionally?

because with animals its mostly unconditional love (unless it bites you!)
interaction with animals is basic you dont need to be anyone else with an animal but with humans its a more complex interaction that some people cant deal with!
animals dont inflict emotional pain like other humans.

Yes they do, thanks for reminding me, I once saw a programme where apes hunted monkeys as a pack and killed them for food. And how they use rocks and sticks as tools. xx |

In general an animal will kill to eat and to survive.Even humans will do this. There are exceptions to this, of course take a fox for example, get into a chicken coop, it kills the lot but only eats one. So humans in the scheme of things are not the only creatures that kill for the sake of killing.
But for the psychi of killing for killings sake??????? Where are the psychologists when you need them? |

Funny I had a falling out with a good friend over this very matter. He lives with four cats and will send me emails in the middle of the night as he's sat waiting for his cats to come in - wont/cant sleep until they're all in. I mentioned that I was tired as I'd waited up for my 18 year old daughter to get in from a concert and said I should have gone to bed as I had work the next day and I fussed too much!!! |
