Why do some people get annoyed/ upset when other people judge them? People judge others all the time. They look at you and make assumptions from what you're wearing and how you act. They judge you from what you post in a forum.
But does it really matter what other people think? The only person that really knows us is ourselves.

Yes it does, especially when a large portion of my life is spent considering other peoples feelings and situation, so when that isn't reciprocated it feels a bit harsh.
No one wants to be judged unless they have the chance to address the judgement ? |

On here in the forums? im really not bothered as people just love to jump on comments and judge,its not real life,it does'nt affect my real life or how I use the site
In the real world its different,but then people will see a living breathing person and not just a page of text so there are many more dimensions to look at and make a judgment on,what you do in real life has more effect so for me has far more importance |

It is a factor of being evolved to not only be a social co-operative but also self-aware and able to project the future. As such we constantly rank ourselves amongst our peers. When we are judged to be good or better we rejoice, when judged to be less we despair. How greatly depends on how much we want to be part of that group or think that the judges opinion is valued.
Tell me I'm the worlds worst marathon runner and I'll smile and tell you I'm not that good. I know I'm not a long distance runner a d don't want to be.
Tell me I am not good at my job and I will be very put out. |

i judge people but i dont always tell people what im thinking, some people like to think the worst of people though even when they dont realy know them. if people think the worst of me then thats obviously their problem. |
