Obviously it's your birthday, but you don't need others to celebrate it for you. Just take a day completely for yourself, do things you wouldn't normally do, enjoy a day indulging yourself. |

Not really, it's Christmas eve and although people do mark it, it still pretty much always gets overshadowed by Christmas.
My parents actually suggested I celbrate it on another day when I was a kid as it would be easier for them |

I love my birthday and celebrate with family and then friends.
It has become a sort of annual reunion for all my mates! One year I was working abroad and they celebrated it without me !
With the state of things now, any excuse to have fun should be taken |

"Thanks for everybody's posts think I need to start enjoying it more been puts off coz of a family tragedy "
Sorry to hear that. Why don't you nominate another day in a few weeks as an honorary birthday and plan something you enjoy doing Penblwydd Hapus / Happy Birthday |

"Yep, love it. I make sure I have lots planned (concerts, cinema, Fab meets etc) and can stretch it out for quite a few days."
Birthdays are only one day! I hate when people try to drag it out over the nearest weekend and expect their friends to come out twice or even three times. |

I always treat myself to a week off work around my birthday. Usually visit family who live a few hundred miles away and generally spend my time doing things I enjoy.
Never been one for big parties or anything but I really enjoyed my party in a swingers club a couple of years ago. |

I usually try to play my birthday down. I dont like being the center of attention and having people fuss over me, but for my next birthday my girlfriend wants to organise an FFM for me....BLESS HER. |

Maybe they meant it in a nice way? We had a summer birthday party for one of the kids as his birthday is in December and he was always really sad that he couldn't have a birthday party in the garden. It was a brilliant day.
I love my birthday, I always do something nice. I don't like the getting older bit though. |
