Mine was Parallel Lines, Blondie. I was 8 and remember the excitement of going to the record shop with my mom to buy it.

I had to have a think then what songs might be on it and then came to the conclusion it probably is shit.

I think the first 'album' I bought would have been on cassette and not vinyl and that would have been UB40 or the Eagles.

It was one of those 1970s 'Top of the Pops' albums that didn't have the original artists singing.

The cover had a woman wearing a leopard print swimsuit on it (they were all adorned with female eye candy - not that the 70s were sexist or anything...)

Does anyone else remember those albums? They were truly dire

I saw the film. Loved the theme sing and a song called Football Fight.... the rest was awful to my young ears. I still have the album, its only been played a few times
