, I want to travel to west London to see my mum in hospital but can I.......no

The reason being as its carnival, London Underground have decided to close 3 lines from nw London for engineering works, and also the rmt union have decided to go on strike today.

Now I understand both the reason why but surly the London Underground could choose a weekend that there is not going to be millions of people crossing London to shutdown lines,....

Also with the rmt, they are deliberately targeting one of the biggest events in London.

I just wonder what people's thoughts are on this?

Falkirk

Honestly? Sounds like its the same old shit down there mate.

Engineering works because its a bank holiday weekend and they get an extra day to do it - makes sense with the big jobs.

RMT - because its maximum disruption plus they get the bank holiday weekend off.

Looks like its the buses for you

Me too - but we don't have tubes up here lol. (Except Glasgow city centre)

But this is why I don't miss London - can you not get an overground train into central London and back out? Only problem is its probably a bit of a walk between stations in central London lol
