On here I'm every man's dream (apparently - not my words!)but in the real world I've been single for 9 years and can't meet anyone!!!!

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not desperately looking for a new husband. I've focused on bringing my child up but now I feel the time is right to find a partner. Guys, a question for you, if you were to meet a lady with a youngish child where there is a completely absent father, would that immediately stop you from starting a potential relationship?

Now before I alienate any potential meets on this site, I'm not looking for a relationship with a man from fab.

I'm just curious as to why I find it impossible to meet a guy outside of fab xx

Do you go out anywhere to meet them? Pubs clubs hobbies etc?

I don't think having a youngster should stop any possible relationship.

If any possible new partner accepted you, then accepting you have a child shouldn't be a problem.Unless, you meet someone who wants you for themself and wont accept that you don't come alone. If that makes sense.

On here every mans dream is someone they find fuckable.

In reality men are far more discerning and look for a range of qualities in someone they may begin a relationship with.

Not just whether they would or whether they wouldn't

And I'm sorry OP, but in a "long term" relationship children at home is not for me...

"Do you go out anywhere to meet them? Pubs clubs hobbies etc? "

Admitedly that is a huge part of the problem. As I dont have the luxury of alternate free weekends when my son visits his dad, a social life is pretty non-existent. However, I really dont want to go to pubs and clubs, I find that boring. I've tried dating sites and seriously I hardly ever received a message let alone an offer of a date x

Yes, that's part of the problem with me too. I would never dream of letting my child meet anyone until I was sure that relationship had the possibility of longevity. If there is one thing I loathe is single parents who have a new partner every few months and bring them into their childrens' lives. Its just not fair x

I'm a single father of three and know exactly what you're saying. I've been fairly popular on here each time I've joined but in the real world most women don't fancy the prospect of a man that will always put his kids first.

That being said I have recently met someone and the prospects are good, she even knows I'm on here too!...

ive been single for 5 years, in that time ive never had sex with anyone outside of swinging

harsh truth is men on here are just after a fuck and don't care to much about looks, i meet loads of guys i know full well wouldn't even notice me if i passed them in the street yet on here i get messages my the hundreds, why? because they are just after sex and men after a relationship are more oicky

i think children do put people off, it also makes you as a parent more weary as you don't want to be introducing just anyone to your kids, i have 3 daughters the chances of anyone wanting to take on me with my 3 girls are very slim lets be honest, my two eldest have grown up and moved out to go to uni now but im still left with a 12 year old, so having the ability to come and go as i wish isn't here yet and no ones going to want to start a new relationship with restrictive baggage which is how most men see your kids

what men are looking for in a woman they just want to shag and who they want to spend their lifes with is so very different

I'm not meeting currently so not really the best of both worlds. I've explained to her that I have friends on here and enjoy the banter.

The decent guys among us should fully understand your circumstances and exercise patience.

I've found the same with a few single women on here, usually the ones without children, if that happens I just move on.

I think what you are experiencing there is the attack of the insta-fuck brigade the ones that think a little flattery can get into anyone's knickers, as for children putting people off its been well documented on here how I have been through the same thing, it's not nice, but you have to remember you ARE someone's dream and he will find you and he will cherish you it's just a matter of time

Ive found it very hard to bring a woman into mine and my daughters lives as being a 24/7 single daddy they dont want to sit in at weekends with a take away do at first then get fed up . When there child or children go to nannys or there dads for the weekend they want to go out raving as work hard all week being mummy and I totally agree with that . So nsa fun suits me till that specail woman comes along.

That is very true the men in their late teens or early twenties who swear that I am the woman of their dreams wouldn't entertain the idea of a "normal" relationship with me. The world of Fab has different rules to the non Fab world that's why its such a nice place to be.
