Hi
We are reasonably new so sorry if we are repeating this
We got a request to meet - from a verified cple - we chatted and they sounded lovely - they then asked for more pics (no problem) - until we said to VERY SEASONED friends - they pointed a few things out about their profile so we backed off - we are new to being active here and love it - pity there wasnt a Name and Shame group allowed !! |

Fairly simple way to test if the profile is genuine or not early on - ask for a phone call between all of you, and NOT just the women. The real fakes (oxymoron alert!) will disappear like fairy dust.. The genuine ones you will hopefully have a laugh with. But the first warning sign I'd have caught on to would be the asking for more pics - there are more than enough in your public gallery to get a good idea what the two of you are all about...

The way we do things now is to just swap facial pics and maybe a body pic, that's really all people need to decide whether they want to meet or not. We accept friends requests only after we've met. If someone (single or couple) push for more pics we just say, you're going to see more if we play lol, and if that isn't right with them, then we take things no further. We've found this works for us, most people who are genuine are quite happy with this. |

I Always say if something doesn't feel right then back away, trust your gut instincts and not what someone else has written. Like someone has already said ask for a phone call ( make sure you have a playgo ) or go on a chatroom with them on here, the non genuine will make excuses. Never send pics any other way but messages from here (if you feel you need to) we had someone recently asking for afew pics via email,we have enough on here they dont need more. |

sometimes politics are at play and although 'seasoned' you may not know the history. ( THERE MAY NOT BE ANY ).. but there have been/are many warring fractions in the scene over the years...
good to seek advice, but go with your GUT feel.

As View said, there can be politics at play, don't let others (however experienced) put you off folk - I've just looked at your status regarding the tight circle of veri'ing each other - might be a group of friends playing together lots looking to expand the circle - maybe a missed opportunity there

(a) be a knee jerk reaction
(b) be an opinion
(c) could have legal ramifications (slander is illegal).

Forgive, not had my coffee yet, but I'm confused: named and shamed for what exactly? Discretion not your strong suit then discussing meets?
Perhaps if you used your own gut feelings and not listen to people who may have a hidden agenda (did I mention discretion) you'll have fun.

Welcome.
We all come across the odd fake from time to time. Then there are those you'll end up classing as time wasters.
Remember that the site is merely a tool to contact others. Learn to use the tool your way, trust your instincts, report abuse and suspicion of fakery to admin and move on. The person/people you find attractive and want to meet may not feel the same about you.
Finally, if you had met them and verified each other then went on to meet the people they have met would you feel that was a self referencing group?

OP whilst you are new it is hard on here, but you will soon get the hang of things. My number one rule is "if it seems to good to be true, it usually is".
A lot if other posters have said you should take your friends advice with a pinch of salt (paraphrasing) as they may have issues with the couple you were chatting too. You need to make your own choices based on what you know. For example I find one point on your profile strange so if we were chatting I'd ask you about it to clarify what you mean rather then discuss it with someone then want to name & shame you. |

I was talking to a verified couple for a few days seemed nice and genuine but then started asking me if i would meet with the male only. I asked where the female would be and they told me to forget about it so i got a bit suspicious and decided to leave it. Just wondered in this kind of situation i take it the right thing to do is report them? |
