Cut out the crap, and stop snacking
It's these two things which do the most damage, and snacking happens and you don't realise you're doing it
Then get some exercise |

"Normally pasta and something and as for the beer not had a drink In 3 wks And I really don't want join a club "
Sounds like carb overload to me. Toast. Cereal. Pasta.
I have fruit and a yoghurt for breakfast. Light lunch of ryvita, cottage cheese, salad stuff, pickled onions stuff like that. Then chicken/pork/tuna/veg/salad/stir fry type dinner.
Lost 15lb in 6 weeks. Not hungry or miserable. Gym 3 times a week for an hour (more for fitness than weight loss) |

Good clean meals. Eat regular but small portions around every 2 and a half hours this well get your metabolism ticking over and try and cut out carbs like white bread and pasta. Swap things like potatoes for sweet potato. Brown bread and pasta. Keep your alcohol consumption down but remember little changes if its too distract you will not stick to it. Feel free if you want more advice have trained for a Long time and been a victim of fad diets lol. |

So a diet high in addictive carbs.
Drop them and base your food around protein, good fats, vegetables, seeds and nuts with a little bit of fruit thrown in. Nothing to count or weigh just good, honest food.
I've been eating like this for over five years and I'm eight stones lighter. |

All great advice above. Just to add a couple more tips:
Drink lots of water. Keeps you feeling full and prevents snacking.
Buy a smaller plate to eat your dinner from. Our plates have increased in size over the decades, and funnily enough so has the amount we eat. If you fill a smaller plate your brain thinks its getting lots and you'll feel fuller after eating. Just don't overfill! |

Everyone has given you great advice so far If you do ever touch pasta make sure it is wholemeal and a small portion but really try to avoid it. When going low carb, as we all need some, if I have anything it is a small portion of brown / wholemeal rice.
High protein snacks will help you to feel more full at those points in time when you're feeling peckish. A boiled egg, biltong, 25grams of nuts, low fat cottage cheese etc.
It sounds like you need to keep yourself a bit of a diary. Take pictures of yourself in a mirror and measurements around the areas you're aiming to lose from. Whilst you may not notice it by the sound of what you're friends are saying you are losing it! With us guys burning the belly podge, especially the last little bit is the hard bit and will require you to adapt to a healthy life stlye avoiding the naughty snacks and alcoholic drinks.
You should join the people on the fab diet thread as everyone in that is doing great and highly motivated and losing steadily but surely, which is the way to do it |

A note on cereals. Most cereals are actually processed. Even the likes of Weetabix and shredded wheat. Best cereal you can go for to start your day is a bowl of porridge This is also the ideal time to get carbs into your body as you then have the rest of the day to burn them off. Much better than eating a load of carbs in your evening meal. |

I eat junk food regularly and still manage to keep the weight off, personally I find reducing calories in general rather than cutting out foods altogether is the best way for me to diet. |

And most cereal is between 20% and 30% sugar! At least shredded wheat and Weetabix aren't that bad. But yes, porridge for the win. |

I eat about 3500 calories a day of clean healthy food I weigh 60 kg which granted is a bit light but body fat is 8% so I am now bulking up. It takes years to get in real good shape so be clear what your goal is

no wonder you have lost your mojo, that isn't a healthy or balanced diet, no wonder your body is storing fat, its gone into starvation mode.
ask dr to let you see a dietician, its free, and if you follow the advice weight will come off, if you can swim a few times a week, as well weight will come off twice as fast |

"Slimming World, not a diet at all and it works: 7.5 stone gone! Never eaten as much as I do now, but as others have said its the right foods, and I'm never hungry. "
slimming clubs, don't want you to lose weight, they need people to stay overweight and pay their weekly fees, its a business with shareholders, and they have to make money, In the first month of course you lose weight, and you get hooked, but generally members sign up and stay with them for life. slimming world is popular because they say you can eat unlimited amounts of certain foods, like oven chips, eggs and beans, so people feel full, but its kidology.. the only way to adjust your weight is to eat less and move more. |

I do this and managed to ditch 8kg in 2 1/2 weeks
Only mild exercise due to injury. |

I decided to sort myself out a few months back and started with a 30 day squat challenge. I started watching what I ate and made better choices. I took pics at the start and again at the end. I'm now halfway through my 4th month and doing various exercises. It's working for me. Seeing results. Slow and steady.

Keep an eye on your carb intake - don't cut out carbs, you need them. But you don't need them with every meal. I stuck to eating a few carbs in the morning to give the energy to get through the day and dropped a lot of weight.
Avoid fatty foods - obviously. And processed food - keep to as much fresh produce as you can.
And finally, don't take in more calories than you burn. Simple. |

Save the junk food for weekends (Saturdays and Sundays, not Fridays included lol)
Try to stick to a very basic food group if you can, but you have to snack regularly (every 2-3 hours) rather than have meals.
Bananas, Yoghurt, Eggs, Tuna, these are great foods. You can still have coffee or tea a few times a day but treat it like a luxury.
You need to drink water very regularly and it will make you piss like crazy but that's a huge key to losing weight, improving metabolism and mood, and not being hungry. Water takes a lot of energy because it's not really digestible. Because it has no fat in it, you're burning energy without taking any in to get your body tuned up.
Oh and know what foods are high in iodine and low in goitrogens to also improve your metabolism.
Over all of this, make sure to exercise for at least half an hour at a time and at least three times a day. |

Your metabolism has slowed down. You need to eat something with the toast at lunch, like ham and tomato and a piece of fruit.
Your body will not lose weight as it is surviving on bare bones for food as it is. Instead it is storing the fat as it doesn't understand when it's next decent meal will be. |

Good start. Add a little glass of milk or some cheese with your toast at lunchtime. Also there is quite a gap between lunch and tea. Perhaps a handful of nuts or something to stop a mid afternoon dip. |

Simple, eat less calories than you burn.
Last year I changed my diet- in fact it's not a diet it's a change of eating habit.
No wheat, dairy (eggs and butter only allowed), caffeine, alcohol and no sugar.
Eat 'spelt' as an alternative to wheat based foods...
Think like when we first arrived on earth- eat like a caveman- if it rubs, swims or grows it's all good- everything else doesn't count!
Try it for 4 weeks you will be amazed!
Oh, and 3 x litres of water to flush toxins out |

dieting never works it has to be a life stile change. with what you eat I think it would be wise to see your doctor to loose the last few pounds and keep them off. when you are thin you can harm your health with bad diets. If you don't want to join a club try walking you need to exercise to get the body working and burn the fat |

Thank you. Not one minute of increased exercise went with that.
As for needing carbs, it's a myth. We don't. I run on ketones which is the brains preferred energy source. My HbA1c is 4.6 and I have the blood lipid profile most would be envious of. I eat saturated fat (and lots of it) protein and vegetables (no roots). The weight loss has left me with baggy bits that only surgery will fix but I'm not going there! I'm fitter and healthier at 52 than I was at 32. |
