Is a wink a polite way of getting a females attention? Do the women on here even look at the winks after all they must get 100s a day plus 100 messages? |

I never look at my winks, I just leave them to build up, so they are pointless if being directed at me I'm afraid |

Talking as a couple, we do look at the winks and if we like what we see we wink back, a conversation usually then follows.
The thing we really dont like is a random friend invite! No message, no wink, just the invite. Smacks of a pic collector. And we dont respond.
This is just us, others may be different |

A wink is as good as a nod
A wink in the hand is as good as two birds with a bush
Actually I think you'll find that most women and couples will ignore a wink, as they get so many.
A single guy receiving a wink though, is, in my experience, showing that sometime might be interested
Generally a wink is cheap and easy, and most folks would appreciate a message more |

Not all single females sit around waiting for 100's of messages that they can delete without reading and moan about.
I always look at winks. If I like them I mail. If not I don't. Simple. |

This, but from a the male perspective of course.. It can be a ice breaker for less confident people to let you know they like you. If you do what harm does a msg back do to let them know |

If we like the look of the person/couple that winks us then we'll either wink them (which leads to them sending a message) or we'll message them back.
If we send a wink and the person/couple wink us back then we know they might be interested.
So...winks can be useful. Some people use it, some don't. But sending a message is a better way to break the ice.

Don't spoil the illusion
Would hate to admit that I get less than a handful a week on my 'elusive bi-fem single profile'
erm so yes I desperately look at winks |

I don't mind winks,im not going to line anyone against the wall and shoot them for sending a wink instead of writing a message,I don't consider them lazy,I consider them a sign of interest that can easily be ignored if the interest is'nt there
Theres not many that think like me though |

I don't get loads and do check out who's winked at me and occasionally wink back, that to me then invites the person(s) to send a message but if they don't send me a joke I don't bother responding |

Going to go against the popular view here........I have no problem with winks. Love to receive them and if someone takes my eye I'll wink back or message. Many a good meet has started with a wink |
