Titz Towers, North Notts

I used to love them, but then I used to get 4-5 hours sleep on shift.

Not nice. Don't do that often. At least gives the opportunity to see the kids for a bit. Not forgetting daytime meets. And, a first for me, a babe off here who lives between me and work who had me round for 'coffee' on the way to work.

So some good points

North of The Wall - youll need your vest

I used to love doing nights - going home to bed just as the other poor sods are turning up for the early shift....

Not a great social life but was always worth just working straight through and getting a long stretch off afterwards.

Not sure I could do it at this age though. Twas when I was a young 'un

I am lucky I pick my own hours, usually unsocial hours because I work in service industry, on line and , most of my clients are from Australia and usa, so nights suit me, leaves daylight hours for my horses and dogs,

50% of my work is night shifts, and I really don't mind them, as long as I don't get extra ones. I'm mostly outdoors and when it's not busy I get to see sunsets and sunrises in some remote places...

I do 5 night shifts a week at present.

I've done "nights" for roughly 25 out of the 40 years I've been working, not all in one go, but as I get older, the physical strains get worse.

This job will be my last on Nights; I'm looking at moving onto a suitable day time role.

Close to A55 in our own bubble

Fem here I work nights. .not keen but the money is good. I only do 2 nights a week. Any overtime I do in the day. I like my sleep to much to work anymore and seriously wouldn't be able to stay awake if I did more lol. It fits in with our family school holidays are tough but just have to grin and bare it .

I would have to work 40hours plus in a week if I changed to days . This way I get to work and still have time for house work and family life lol. Been doing nights for 7 year's now and really didn't expect to still be doing them. I have no plans to stop until the kids are grown up and have left school. Although stressful I do love my job. I work 9pm til 7am .
