Wow what a game !! Never really got into the previous ones but have to say this is a brilliant game !!!
Great story , great voice acting, decent graphics and so much to do !!

Hmmm, maybe I might give this one a shot. Like you I haven't ever played the previous titles. Is it still third person? I take it is easier to play on a control pad?
I'm stuck here at home bored at the moment with a broken foot, read all books I had on the self that were on my list to read and now trying to waste my day by playing games and surfing forums. I've always found third person games a little odd to play, I can't remember the one that really put me off but it was years ago now and I've stuck with FPS ones since. Maybe it's time to break the mould! |

Yes it is 3rd person, but have to say it really is a brilliant game ! I was drawn in from the start and has a really great story, the gameplay is hugely varied as well which makes it even better |

Sounds good to me then. I like games that have a decent story Fingers crossed I'll be able to purchase it through steam otherwise I'll have to order the DVD and sit and wait for it to come through the post.
This will be when I find out my aging GTX480 can't cut the mustard. I will blame you if I end up purchasing new pc goodies   |

Whilst I do have an xbox360 the only game I play on it is Forza4. PC still dominates in my mind. I know they cost more, at least my setup cost a lot more, but the type of games / sims I play work much better on a PC. Also PC graphics are FAR superior, if you spend the money on a decent setup that is.
I will agree xbox is great that it is simply turn on and play I'm just a bit of a PC geek at heart  |

Have to agree PC absolutely smashes any console end of ! lol, consoles are limited PC's arent lol !!

Makes sense Only reason I have an xbox is it was a Christmas present from one of my ex's one year. Will admit I do like Forza4. There are racing sims on the PC that are amazing but simply can't be played nor can you be competitive playing using a control pad. Can't bring myself to buy a wheel, plus I'd need a new desk too. |

SSD's are awesome. I've had one since not long after they came out. Mine has lost a little speed, it's an OCZ-Vertex2 180gb. I think I should have gone for the slightly smaller as it was faster but I really wanted a bit more space as FSX install is big! Crystaldiskinfo has my drive at 85% on the health status and it has been that pretty much since day dot so unsure why it has slowly become slower. It isn't as slow as a SATA, just lost it's edge which it had when brand new. |

I prefered AC2 and Brotherhood, but Im a massive Italophile! Never really got enthused about the US War of Independence story but loved the piracy bits... So very much looking forward to AC4 Black Flag - when I get a PS4...

Oh we love this game, the kids and I... We have all of the assassins games and the books (recommended if you love the storylines - you get to find out a whole lot more that brings the world to life!)
The new assassins should be out before xmas I think, I'll find out and if I'm wrong I'll post back |

Hmm thats a toughy lol !! Alienware are really good laptops and designed for gaming, but they are expensive !!! lol.

Morrigan hasn't played 3 yet but has played the others to death, she is an avid gamer and has cost a fortune in games this year (especially the Sims) she is very geeky including insisting on buying an original 60 gig PS3. Those in the know will understand. Assassin's creed 3 will be on the Christmas list along with black flag.  |

Im the same as a few of you, have AC 2 & Brotherhood and played them non stop but not 3, im still undecided whether i want it or not as one of the things i liked was how they were set in Italy but AC 3 isnt but then again i suppose it needs some sort of change to stop it from going stale! Hmmm decisions! |
