Do random friend invites ever work?

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

I, as many others no doubt, get a lot of random friend invites. Doesn't bother me as I just ignore them and leave them sitting there.

My question is do they achieve anything positive for the sender? I know some people accept to perve at pics then delete it. But has anyone ever achieved a successful meet by sending one?

I ignore them... Unless I'm really bored and I will accept while the other person is offline and then delete them again (and I warn them of this on my profile)

If I notice the same person repeatedly sending them after the 30 days has expired... then I block

In before this becomes a moaning session about unsolicited friend invites....

When i first joined Fab, a random friend invite eventually led to a meet. It is the only time it has happened. I don't entertain them for the most part. Will usually wait till the sender if=s offline, then perv and then delete.

That's interesting. Was it you sending or receiving which led to the meet?

we can't be fucking arsed sending friends requests tbh but don't mind people getting in touch, its just being polite accepting and as yet we only have fucked one couple off our friends list despite having quite a few now... maybe i need to look at our list and see whats occuring

I never accept random invites and I do say on my profile not to send but still they do. If I'm in a nosy mood I'll wait till they're off line, look at the pics the delete!

Otherwise I leave them there so they can't send again for 30 days

So basically they don't achieve anything. Makes you wonder why people bother to send them.

Yep thats why i ignore most. Im more likely to add them if they just sent a message and asked to see my private pics.

I received the invite. Accepted it, liked the private pics, so sent a message. Met with the couple a few days later.

I know what you meant. No never worked for us. Immediately we see it as a tad lazy, maybe even a bit rude. Appreciate someone says hi first.

Never accepted them and just deleted all the time. Finally cracked and had to ask a couple of the guys who sent them. Apparently they do work and in one case he insisted the invites had led to meets.

Although we will still just keep deleting and ignoring

Brighton - even Hove!

I sent a message to a couple 6 months ago and it wasn't answered. Recently got a friend invite from them. I don't think they want to meet though unless they are very slow.

Don't send them, can't see the point, probably get slated for this... But those that accept random invites, are probably, the type we are not looking for

Each to their own of course

Im happy to conduct a scientific experiment for the good of the forums. Random friend invites accepted. Lets see what happens.

Results will be published in one to two years, subject to successful award of an EU grant to fund the study...

I put a suggestion in the feedback forum a couple of months ago to only allow a friend request to be sent once a message had been sent and replied to between the 2 parties. It would eradicate the whole random friend request issue

They do if its someone who is attractive and gets your interest with their private pictures but in general I would say no they don't in most cases.

It depends for me.

I get a few and I always check to see if they have private pictures. If so I will add them to look/fap at the pictures then remove them later. If they don't have private pictures it's always a no.

It's how I roll yo.

If I see a girl (or guy or couple) I like the look of ill send a friend request. I see it as an icebreaker, it's me showing them that I'm interested, and if they accept it ill immediately message and day thank you.

I've started chatting and getting to know a lot of lovely people through this method so it's not all bad

We love the random friends requests, they don't half make us chuckle... Especially if they have not read our profile and live flippin miles away! We have a perv at the pics and they are in our estimation chances and not compatible with us at all... LOL.
