when we travel up the M5 we stop at Sainsbury's just off Jtn 25. Cheap fuel and good food at a fraction of the cost of service station stuff.
Sometimes we'll detour to Burnham on Sea to the Chinese Takeaway on the seafront.

"Depends what you use them for lol
Broke a bed at fleet services once
But in general I try to avoid because of atheist and lack of low carb food options.
"
Do you only go to Christian ones? |

"Anywhere that as a Costa "
That's pretty much everywhere right?..
~If we're talkning brand of service station I like "Welcome Break".
Specifically Oxford. That's a good one.
Am I actually saying this?..somebody hit me with a dead fish please, these thoughts shouldn't be in my head. |

We popped in the services on the M6 toll road on the way back from the Cupids social a few weekends ago and I paid the most I have ever paid for a cup of tea in a Costa Coffee - £2.39. For a tea bag, a drop of milk and some hot water.
a ripped off ted... |

Has to be Tebay, northbound M6 between Lancaster and Penrith.
I believe that they're the only private motorway services in Britain, where all the food is freshly cooked local produce and is absolutely gorgeous!
Chose a window table, under the wide beamed roof, with ducks on the pond just outside and views down the valley...
I could sit there and eat for hours - I have done..... |

Just beat us to it, Tebay are our favourite stop when in the area, farm shop, handmade naughty cakes to go with ya tea (at a reasonable price as well)

Tebay gets my vote too. Best services in the country, no the world, no the universe. Pitty it's so far away. |

It's another vote for Tebay from me...home made burger, arse plonked by the duck pond, en-route to Kendal Calling (which is actually at Penrith rather than Kendal)...clean toilets, farm food shops...best services eve |

We always stop at Fleet Services on our way back from a night at AbFabs for a coffee and a chat about our evening. It's become a bit of a tradition and I can't imagine just driving all the way home now without our little break.
We don't stop on the way TO Kestrels/AbFabs though - can't think why |

Find it interesting to use the 'who's nearby' browse function in service stations ... anybody within half a mile and there's a good chance you're sat with them
... oh and another vote for Tebay |

M&S Evie. Loads of low carb options there, and burgers without the buns.
Stopped at Leicester Forest East yesterday and they had a serious sewage smell pervading the place, my nose took refuge in a coffee and we ran out of there.

" Stopped at a Little Chef once, had a bacon sandwich, course I only had a tenner on me.
Now I like Little Chefs. The food is always freshly cooked, the portions are good and it's a falacy that they are overpriced.
It's an old Chubby Brown joke Jack, but minus the swearing!
The Olympic Breakfast is still only £7.99 or is it £8.99 now? I think that's a good deal. " |
