2 little boys aged 10 and 11 charged with the attempted murder and robbery of 2 other young boys

The details of what happened are so gruesome they hav'nt all been revealed

They could barely see over the dock in court

It turns my stomach..it has reminded me of poor little Jamie Bulger

Sadly its not that uncommon... Well the violence bit isn't eh...

Have to say if they were mine they'd need to be in court for protection...

What a world now eh...

being married to a scouser he told me when they refuse to release details it goes a lot further than violence as it was shown in the jamie case

when things like this happen i look at my two children an think what type of world are there kids going to live in

the only light to come out of this is it could of been worse like not like poor jamie

I just remember how my son was at that age and he was so sweet and kind

Hes nearly 15 and has turned into a grunting neanderthal whilst puberty is going on but he still knows right from wrong

I really sometimes fear for the future of this country. Some people say, "but it was no different in the 60's and 70's" bollox it was. Today, there is a complete disregard for authority by a lot of the youngsters in the country, computer games that glorify violence and a civil liberties brigade that hits out at anyone who challange what is happening, shouting 'human rights'!!!

I remember when jamie bulger was murdered it was such big news. I wonder how quickly this most recent crime will become just another everyday story of violence

From a very early age, humans have an instinct of what is right and wrong, its the ferral attitude of 'couldnt care less' parenting that influences this terrible behaviour, even the Mother was quoted as saying "I wasnt there, nothing to do with me" or words to that affect!!!

i reckon we are just suffocating in laws ,,,,,if anything happens ...there is a law to cover it ...so common sense does not always prevail .

i reckon all laws now should be amendments to exisiting ones and not new ones ...the rule book is so big now we cant pick it up !!!!!

My understanding was that the two boys who have been charged were in care. If found guilty it'll be interesting to see who have was meant to be responsible for them.

Talking for social values, i noticed that the star reported on their front page that the missing female chef had a secret porn past.

That will be just what her family would want publicised at a time like this.

Yes John I know about that case and I know those times were not perfect and the news was not reported like it is today, 24/7 on every TV channel, but come on, kids are getting stabbed nearly every other day in Towns and Cities across the UK. The values, morals and priciples we used to live by have been diluted by how we now live now ans how society had dergraded. I mentioned the violent computer games, underage drinking (yes I know we did it too, but I can never remember young girls laying pissed and vomiting in the streets like I have seen in Newcastle) cheap drugs, knife/drug crime, teenage prositution...If your telling me that is how you think the 60's and 70's were and things are not spiriling out of control now then I'm sorry, your wrong!!!!

I don't care what anyone says, all this downward social spiral got worse with the abolishion of corporal punishment. Nothing teaches you as quickly as pain. The years of softly, softly, easy going, understanding, humanitarian,pc approach just doesn't work.Kids these days just see that as weakness.

Its all well and good these Hippy throwbacks saying "Violence makes you just as bad as them",big deal, who gives a toss as long as it gets the yobs back on side and I guarantee within a month it would. All for the price of a bunch of twigs...Bargain!

Couldn't agree more strongly regarding corporal punishment. Kids these days know they can't be touched - even by their own parents, who, when trying to ground them, are told to "fuck off coz if you smack me I'll get the law on ya!"

I'd smack the little shit anyway and tell him to go fetch the law.

Those boys in Doncaster knew what they were doing and carried out a systematic and lengthy spell of torture on their victims and they should be made to answer to their crimes in court but we all know that they'll plead that they had a bad upbringing, were abused themselves and are too young to be responsible for their crimes.

Their parents will plead that they are a victim of society who never had any help with their unruly offspring and that it's society's fault for the way they turned out.

And the sad reality is.... they're not that far from the truth!
