Got to be honest and say they call each other it all the time so don't see why it's so offensive if a white person calls them the N word?

My mother had a poodle that she named Nigger. Also Guy Gibson's dog (Dambusters) was named nigger. It wasn't a racist thing, but simply based on the fact that the dogs were totally black.

Your comparison is a wee silly since Taffy, Jock, John and Paddy are not races but common names. My father called every man he came across as John if he didnt know them, whereas today we tend to say mate.
A better comparison would be Pommies and Frogs.
Ok so Taffy, Jock, John and Paddy are not races but neither is nigger. So it's ok to use that then is it? |
