Its not easy being polite to the unsuitables who haven't read your profile preferences before they write to you. It's really interesting to see their response. Most are gracious, lovely and accepting and the brief banter you share while saying and accepting its a no go is refreshing ... others are real dummy spitters!!!
One guy wrote to me yesterday and it just opened with the words 'Hi gorgeous chest'. I should have just binned it. But being a bit of a wag I wrote back and asked if he was writing to me from 1950's Yorkshire!
He replied and said he just wanted to be polite and not use crude words (jaysus, on a sex website!) I said breasts was ultimately better than chest! He agreed then wrote back saying they were mighty fine. I wrote back saying thanks.....

I wrote back with some facts about my real age and how 46 is nice neutral number that keeps granpas and bairns, at bay (in theory) and that he was a moron and I didnt need his sort of compliments. I then decided it was time for the block button as my age range had failed to keep a moron at bay
I looked at my blocked list just now (gosh its growing by the hour) and as you know you can't read the profiles of blocked members, but this moron had added a new tag line to his, which you of course can see. It says "A woman blocked me yesterday because I told her she was too old for me"
Gosh, what a warped slant on what really happened and a perfect illustration of what you say and what others see in your words!!! I, of course, unblocked him to write and ask what was next - a fight behind the bike sheds???
Other members might like to read about anecdotes like this in the forums but do we want to see it in profiles? It just looks petty. Your profile is where you advertise yourself not talk about what failures you have had, no matter which angle you choose to use it still spells failure to impress! This young man needs to let go if he's gonna survive the amount of rejections he will get around here if all he can talk about is tits....

Ive taken all my pics down for the time being (read a previous post from yesterday entitled did she go or was she pushed) basically, someone used a pic of mine on her profile.

Yes don’t we all just love the current status, it’s brilliant, you sign in and the first thing that greets you on your home page is “Local Updates” every day without fail its full of people moaning or quite blatantly throwing digs at someone else, what’s even more funny is when you peek at said profiles, they all describe themselves as friendly and easy going with a wicked sense of humour, and that they don’t take anything to seriously.
Brilliant entertainment and even better it’s FREE, it’s a shame they just don’t see that they are doing is putting off the people that they’re actually trying to meet |

Youre totally right.. if a blokes profile starts off with 'just left a long term relationship and now I want to make up for wasted time' I think if these men consider their ex long term partner to be a waste of time what chance do I have!!!
We all have a moan and I like to moan in the forums but do have the odd sarcastic dig in my profile to try and warn chancers off me.... |
