Kent

I've been up since 6 (treated to a lay in this morning) and have already done the laundry, housework and made a chilli for dinner tonight.

Can't decide what to do today. Have already been to the park 3 times this week, the beach, the arcades, swimming, done some baking and done the shopping. Weather is kind of ok now but meant to cloud over later.

Trying to think of things to do with a 2 year old that don't cost much money or involve hours on a ruddy bus/train is hard work sometimes!!

A nature type walk, set out with a list of plants/bugs/animals to spot.

we used to go for long walks, go to the park every day, 2 year olds are easily pleased. We would go down to lymington quay and look at the boats always find someone to talk to.

i had a seat on the back of my bike we would go for long bike rides and have picnics in the forest.

ive a pretty big arts n crafts box.. and i spent £5 on a plain cheap canvas

Me n little one used glue, glitters, paints, tissue paper, coloured lollipop sticks, fuzzy pipe cleaners etc to make some original artwork.

on every picture we make together i print my hand, and she puts her handprint inside mine.. its just like our 'signature'

oh an then i date it of course.

I don't have kids but I'm guessing 2 year olds find most things exciting...

Feed ducks or something like that?..

order some air drying clay.. make hand or foot print impressions.. then a few days later you can have another activity to paint them

Yes everything is new and exciting to them, i used to walk for miles when my son was little fresh air and excersise helps tire them out and they like to meet lots of people.

one good thing about not having a car, keeps you very fit.
