Did you ever fail at being a Vegetarian?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Yep. I made my family buy special food for me, Linda McCartney things etc.
We went on holiday and Dad paid extractor me to have a special veggie meal on lithe plane. Then we went to a Chinese on holiday and they had sweet and sour chicken. I had to confess that I'd been eating sausage rolls at school for week just so I could have some |

Veggie since I was a teenager, accidentally had a mouthful of meat burger when I'd ordered a veggie from grubs in Brighton and spat it out and accidently had a mouthful of chicken soup which I thought was mushroom which I spat out as well. |

was vegetarian for about 15 years...was always a welfare and provenance issue for me.....solved it by keeping my own livestock...raising the blessed little furry bundles of joy before driving them off to the abattoir and turning them into lots of yummy joints of meat, sausages etc |

North of The Wall - youll need your vest |
For about 3 months, many moons ago, after visiting an abattoir.
Then I went on holiday to Yugoslavia and in those days if you didn't eat meat there you would have starved to death, plus they had some bloody lovely steaks |

"Wouldn't even entertain being a veggie, cruelty to carrots is one of the UK's biggest untold crimes....."
It is criminal the way they slice, dice and shred the pore little mites |

I tried to be a vegi when I was 15 but failed miserably! My partner however has been vegi for about 20 years! We've been many places where he's ordered the vegi option and they bring out the meat version!! |

Yes, I was vegetarian until I was 22. My ex's mum was the catalyst. Her cooking was abysmal and I decided it would be better to eat meat that was vile rather than vegetarian slop. Then I found bacon and steak and there isn't anything that would send me back! |

I've been veggie for around 15 years now, and I've never purposely ate meat. I've travelled a lot and accept the fact that the tomato soup I had in Turkey was probably made with none-veggie stock, and the same with the food in Japan. I also licked the lid off a desert then realised it had pork gelatine in it.
When I'm in a position to, I'd like to make a donation to an animal charity for all the countries I've been to and carry that on as I travel more, donating £10 or so each time! |

i was vegatarian for about 20 years never missed not eating meat because i like most food also its healthier, less fat and stuff.
i only started eating red meat in my early fourties because having heavy periods made me anemic, i dont eat red meat now though because i am meant to have a low fat diet. |

Was veggie from 17 to 22 but failed on the bacon buttie test one Saturday morning whilst looking at an early doors pre match pint. Have a friend who's a vegan - tempted to join her but don't think I've got the willpower |

While I enjoy many vegetarian dishes I could never go a day without eating meat.
That being said I don't eat loads of farmed or processed meats (lamb and beef being an exception but I tend to buy from local farm shops) I tend to shoot my own depending on what's in season.
I respect many vegetarians for sticking to their values/morals no matter how much I mock them... |

Have been a pescatarian (do not eat meat, poultry etc. but do eat fish and dairy) since I was 12.
We travel a lot, so like a post above, I expect that I have inadvertently eaten meat at times.
