Is it just us, or does anbody else just not get the fascination with the chat rooms. We appreciate that for some it is what does it for them. But it just does not work for us. We prefer the real thing..

In the chat rooms, I can chat with 20 of my friends at the same time (I can't do this in real life, except at the socials/parties - once a month, maybe).
In the chat rooms, I can chat with friends who are 100 miles away (I can't do this in real life, as I don't have time to travel to them, daily).
You say you 'prefer the real thing' - are you mixing up chatting with 'performing on cam'? |

you mean a proper chat, face to face? lol
perhaps the best reason to use the chatrooms are to actually chat, about anything, to anyone..have a laugh, take the p*** out of the lurkers, arrange meets and if you fancy it go on cam but at the end of the day its all about choice so if you don't like it, its no biggie, there are plenty of others that do lol  |

I go into the chat rooms every now and again, wouldn't bother me if they disappeared for good though. I much prefer the forums
What I have noticed is that a lot of people will only speak to people they know, so its hard to get talking to new people and make new friends. Guess you could say there is a lot of 'cliques' in the chat room |

There are people who use the chatrooms just to keep in touch with their existing friends. But there are lots more who are very friendly and welcoming and open to making new friends.
When you come into Northern Chat, say "hi all", and several people (those who are not already engaged in converstion) will say "hi" back. |

There are people who use the chatrooms just to keep in touch with their existing friends. But there are lots more who are very friendly and welcoming and open to making new friends.

Hey at the end of the day it is whatever floats your boat. For some it works for others it doesn't.We prefer the forums as you get less of the'look at me i am having a wank brigade'. But like i said it is what ever works for the individual. I just voiced what we felt and wondered if we were in the minority. |

I started going in there couple of weeks back - just to chat and banter. People can also see I am real - I had a meet with a fantastic guy on Tues because we had originally chatted in the chat room x Ive had some great laughs - going in there tonight  ) xx |

we don't use the chat rooms much. missis doesn't like getting anything out on cam and I am a bit shy too. we mainly want to use it to talk and see people before we meet, still waiting for our first meet tho :D |
