MANCHESTER

So I took notes on what you guys said last week about the options if looking about self employment, start up and benefits... I told my personal adviser and with the notes from the group post (3 hour job search, possible sign off as self employed, working tax credit, New enterprise allowance, etc) and my advisor immediately contacted the people who could help with self employment/start up.

Now the company is called blue orchid. I wish I could Google them right now but I'm on the kindle in London in an bad Wi-Fi/mobile internet (Although the kindle's wifi internet is working perfectly).

I believe them to be an Manchester possibly greater Manchester radius company that helps small businesses get up and running.

Has anyone worked with blue orchid?

And now the shameless promo bit.

I'm in London until Saturday. I have friends and family here as well as in Huddersfield and Nottinghamshire. I could possibly visit Birmingham...

I've been thinking; if all goes well with my self employment projects, any couples, required parties mentioned in my project like to be friends? Maybe play and have some fun? If all goes well, I'll stretch out how far I am willing to travel.

Fantastic!

Knowledge is power!

I don't know how long you are in London but the Portobello Business School I quite good and also has a lot of online material.

I don't know of Blue Orchid but I will warn you up front it will be a very hands off approach while you get your business plan together.

Good luck and keep us updated!

That's great news, although it's not easy starting your own business and will take alot of hard work and long hours to get it all going.

The rewards can be amazing, both financially and for your own self esteem if it all goes well. .

Good luck for the next few years and stick with it throughout

Just visiting my mum, sis and daughter. I'm here until Saturday. I'll Google Portobello although the very word makes me hungry. :P
