Would love to say it was something on gorgeous woman, expensive cars or exotic holiday destinations but alas it was actually "are slow cookers any good? " just seen in cheap in the supermarket, such an exciting life!!

Ok. It was a pretty cool one. According to the internet, which we all know is not capable of lying, there are several potential origins. The oldest, and most widely believed is that, in ancient times, some people believed in Trickster spirits that lived within trees. These malevolent spirits loved to prey upon the fortunate, the boastful, and the arrogant more than anything.
So as not to provoke these spirits, or tempt the fates as we would say now, people would actually knock loudly on the closest tree when professing their good fortune or bragging so the Trickster spirit literally could not hear the boast over all the racket of its home being rattled around it.
I thought it was cool. Lol. |
