How do i deal with the pain of splitting up with my cheating boyfriend?

I have just dumped him tonight and I am writing this through tears.

I hope my forum family can help me get over the pain of this split. Why did he do it I don't understand? He said I meant the world to him!!

I don't know how long you had been together or how serious the relationship was, but trust me it will get better over time.

For now you'll be feeling angry and probably confused as to why this happened.

Maybe one day you'll be able to talk it through together and at least get some closure on the whole thing.

Don't forget there are still some really nice genuine men around, just not easy to find one.

Hope you start to feel better soon

If you and he had had "that conversation", but then he played outside the rules, then you're right to feel let down and betrayed.

I feel for you, I really do.

My partner cheated on me, so I can speak with some authority on the pain ur feeling. Everybody has told me time heals, and it is true. I'm a few months on but still get pangs of pain. It DOES get better, hang in there hun.

Step back a minute, if you have a boyfriend or girlfriend, you don't need to be on a sex dating site in cyber space, sooner or later you will find someone you like more. just a fact.

You were together because of firstly lust, there was an attraction, in your head that grew into " love" and you started seeing a future together, possibly living together, marriage, family, security, It was as if you had known him all your life, and yes you put a lot of effort into your friendship , relationship.

Rather than being satisfied with what you had, you made the decision to explore and used the internet to have sex with others, maybe he did the same thing, so far no problem, it maybe enriched your life. Now your playing with fire and sooner or later you will be burnt, one of you will realise that there are choices and opportunities, and that's all that happened, he found someone, thought wow, the grass is greener on the other side, it could of happened with you.

He may not have found anyone better, just different, of course it wont last, its just the cycle starting again.

Yes I know it hurts, more so because it wasn't your choice.

The one thing I know is that life goes on.

Good luck, have a clear out, decorate, and put your mind to something practical, and when he wants to come back, forgive him, and decide, do I want to risk trying again.? or cant I forgive him and move on, you wont ever forget.

We're all animals. Look back in history. Most ppl cheat. Am so sorry urve been hurt so badly. I'm actually at my mates and two yrs her bf cheated on her she found out yday. Once lied to and lost the trust it never comes back. My mates had four years and knows now atleast two of them years he cheated.

Cheating can mean lots of things depending on the type of relationship y partner and I will sometimes play with couples or single fems together however I would consider it cheating if he played without me.

Perhaps this couple have a set of rules and he played outside of those rules which is why she was upset?

My ex wife cheated on my out side the swinging circle we used to be in. Can't under stand why!! She could have all the sex with men and women she wanted with my agreement but sneaked round behind my back and was seeing a guy from work!! Madness ey. That's what a friend of mine said. He always cheated, eventually got his wife to join him in meeting others but didn't find it exciting with her there, so back to cheating for the thrill.

Maybe next time anyone feels like airing dirty washing on the forum about another Fab member they should read the rules first , as you are breaking them.
