If I'm just over the limit, say 35 in a 30 and some knob comes flying up behind to tailgate me, I will slow down to 27 or so, that really makes em irate
In fact last time I did it, the guy was driving a 3 litre range rover, I slowed to 25 in a 30, he pulled out to overtake me so I put my foot down again, he floored it to get past. Unfortunately this put him through a Truvelo speed camera well in excess of 40
He turned left into a Halfords which by chance was where I was going, he got out shouting obscenaties at me. I just smiled and blew him a kiss and of course reminded him to watch the post for his NIP in the next 14 days |

As a sales rep its imperative that i get to my next customer quickly and on time and time is money.
Tailgating can be fun. Giving the wanker sign and the finger to other drivers who annoy me is part of the job |

I think at times we all want to and have done so. There are those on the road that pi$$ every one off.
There is a time and place to do this and yes I have and enjoyed it.
I was on a driving test when I was 17, and my driving instructor/tester statred to talk about an emergency stop etc, so lets just say I did as I was told and the car in the back of us hit us, my driving instructor got a new car out of it, I got a tick and passed my test lol. And for the record yes we claimed for whiplash etc and got some cash out of it, not that I saw it, my folks got it, well gave it to them. The funny thing about the accident, it was the local Police, so was fun in a funny way, I was none to happy at the time, but looking back at it now, its funny xx |

Lol do it all the time as whilst i do drive rather fast a lot i hate tailgaters as i leave a nice gap between me and the car infront.
I drive a sports car and white van man thinks i should do 100mph all the time when 95 will do lol

I can't understand why "white vans" (emergency vehicles excepted)aren't governed to 70 MPH.
Why the Hell do they need to do a ton, just to deliver white goods or plastic windows ffs?

It wont matter in a few years when GPS is mandatory and the government can tell what speed every car has done. no one will go over 70 more than a few times. |

I dont drive and have never had a lesson (lived in Edinburgh until a few years ago so no need and no parking) but I come from a family of drivers - Im the only one who never learned
But my father used to have a citreon 2CV6 (looked like an upturned bathtub) and he is the original sunday driver always sticks to the speed limit, so one day we came down a hill and he noticed Police out with speed cameras and then said "ohh shit ticket for me" we (me and my kid brother) peed ourselves cos he had never had any tickets before, he stops and says to the copper "well how much?" the copper looks at the car and says "get going sir no one would believe that was doing 80 cos its a rust bucket" my dad says "give me another go then I will get a better speed with the wind now" the copper looked like he was going to have a heart attack says "look sir if I give you a ticket they will laugh me out the office" shame cos my mother would have killed my dad for getting a speeding ticket cos he is always having a go at her for speeding!!!

"I love how police cars drive at 68mph on the motorways"
They actually drive below the speed limit (on motorways at least) for a very good reason; to prevent them becoming a mobile traffic jam. If you overtake them while doing the legal limt, you'll "feel" ok to do so.
@OP. No, I don't. If someone behind me wants to go faster than I'm currently going, I move over to allow them to do so. Conversely, if I'm behind someone who's going slower than me I expect them to extend the same courtesy. If they don't, I'll overtake them as and when it's safe to do so.
If they decide to act the prat and try to accelerate, I'm still going to get passed them (safely, of course). |

most are limited to between 60-67mph but these limiters are easily removed one i drove was easily capable of a ton with full 3.5 ton capacity |

I have to add to this and ask why it is that it seems the only people that drive within 2 feet of my back bumper are always the drivers of Subaru Imprezas. Why is it they all think they have superhuman reaction times and think they are either Ken Block or Colin McCrae just because they've got an Impreza. |

I don't do it on the bike just in the car. Last time i whizzed through trafic some nut opened his door on me though "
Always the risk if you whizz around, sure the HC mentions 'opening doors' to both car drivers and bike riders |

absolutely every time someone gets dangerously close when tail gating me, except on Motorways where I have the ability to speed up in the slow lane or move to another lane from the overtaking lanes and because I think this would be much too dangerous a practice at higher speeds.
The other thing that really annoys me is motorway middle lane hoggers, who obviously do it because they are either too lazy to use the road correctly, own the lane so have the right to do it, or are not very competent drivers and need to do it as they are scared of being to close to the kerb or central reservation. |

Yup have done this too, drop a gear, accelerate away and fast flick fog lights in the same manouvere, it really pisses them off.
