.....on how to get blood out of a carpet?
I've tried every cleaning agent going but there's still a slight stain, any old wife's tale's worth trying out or does blood just not come out?

Thing is by the time I took her to the hospital and got home it had dried and don't seen to want to come out |

mix some biologal washing powder to a paste and leave it to soak in or if you use the liquid type sperad a little of that on it, I'd recommend a test patch first though as it might take colour out. |

In my job I get a lot of blood stains on my uniform, and a tip from an "old hand" has always worked - pour bitter lemon or sparkling white wine in the stain, then blot with kitchen towel. Blood has a high fat content dispersed by the acidity, and the bubbles lift it away from the fibre. Only a theory, of course, but it always seems to work. |
