The offending smoke detector is on the table ....... the battery is the other side of the room .................... and there is still a beep beep noise going on upstairs ..................... wtf is going on??   |

I know that bit ............. but wanted to know how long the battery would last for going beep beep ............. ?? and at what point the battery decides its dying ... is that with only 10% of power left or less or more? I am intrigued now and clearly have too much time on my hands lol

TBF to all governments, making building regs, HOMO regs etc etc has saved loads of lives making people fit fire/smoke/heat detectors, a pain when not working right, but a life saver when needed most. Yes I used to fit them and my house as a full and maintained system in place along with a point spinkler system, extinguisher in kichen, boiler room and my bedroom. I have no intention of being cooked in my house |

I have had the same, had to send it back to the company who made it as it was faulty, wrote faulty smoke alarm on he envelope in case the Royal Mail thought it was a bomb |
