Right if you wa having a social meet with a couple and you was already in the pub and they arrived, and you didn't like the look of them, would you
A - walk straight out of pub without even talking to them ?
B - sit and have a drink with them and then say you will be in touch
C - have a drink with them and then tell them your not our type ? |

A is far too rude
B might be the easy way out but you would have to tell them the truth eventually
C the best way to go even though it would make me feel so bad to tell them to their faces |

C - though in my case it would be a single male - and I have done that. Only polite to have a drink and a chat since they have, after all, turned up. |

C if they spotted me
A if there was something that I thought could be a serious problem. Very rare though. At the end of the day I will always try to respect the other persons feelings |

I'd at least have a drink and a chat with them. Why would you not like the look of them as soon as they arrived?
Surely you would have chatted and exchanged pics beforehand so there must be some attraction there in the first place? Unless their pics well out of date! |

It happened last night and then come up with some stupid excuse when she couldn't get out of the door fast enough, I just find it so rude and couldn't do it,
And yes they had seen pics and chatted for at least a week, after all it was only a social |

Would have to be B for us. If we have a social with a couple we generally meet to play at a later date, giving both couples time to decide if they're all happy.
Think that's why most of our meets are with single guys, so much easier as only I (Lynne) have to be happy. |

I'd never walk out without saying something after someone turned up!
I arrange social meets with the proviso it's just to see the "whites of the eye", no pressure and I'll let them know whether I want to play with them.

In that case, they were rude. If you'd arranged a social the least they could have done was stay and be sociable. You'd give up your time to meet with them after all.
I've done it before now. A man turned up and he looked nothing like his pics but I stayed, had a coffee and a chat and left after an hour.
I will admit to not telling him nothing further would happen at the time. I mailed him later but at least I was polite and chatty during the meet |

We can only guess why they did a runner. Perhaps she got cold feet and was embarrassed. Some people do a runner before the meet turns up.
On our first meet I, Jack, was shitting bricks in the pub car park, and I very nearly didn't go through with it.
I wouldn't naturally assume that she didn't like the look of you, although I can understand why you would feel that way.
Just put it behind you and move on.
Best of luck |
