Waking up in the morning with a serious hangover, no coffee and no cigarettes!
Wish there was an online delivery service for life's other essentials apart from takeaways! |

Like you I/we have had to cope in many a crisis over the years. We cope on gut instinct and luck initially then by rational thought and action. Since most of our crises have involved our kids I wont go in to detail |

I was first on the scene after a car accident ......
Had to aid the driver who had crushed legs. First aid training kicked in and was told by paramedics that my actions probably saved then from having to be amputated |

Over the rainbow, under the bridge |
For me crises involve things like my dad dying, my mother's long term illness and car accidents. I tend to switch into a cold business-like mode.
Then later there may be a few tears but not always. |

During the later years of my offshore career I was required to become a qualified command team leader in the management of major emergencies.
Thankfully I was never put in a full-on disaster situation where I'd need to make some of the more challenging decisions which come with holding that level of responsibility.
But managing crisis was part and parcel of my everyday life...

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
It has been crisis week for me this week. I was beginning to think I had caught Minxie-matosis.
I went into meltdown last night after coping all week. Luckily, the challenge of breaking Ryan helped.
*I meant breaking Ryan's defcon levels of course. |

I always remember the saying "shit happens"
Never really let things get on top of me TBH. I get knocked down and get back up again, some say it is a weakness to not known when you are beat, I consider it a strength |

"Strangely enough, I cope fantastic in a crisis like my dad dying. But I could go into meltdown and take to my bed for a week if my curtains weren't straight"
This is so me too! I've coped through some truly horrendous family crises but if my house is untidy, Jesus I just can't cope at all!! |
