Is it me?? or are all us older fella's deemed as past our sell by date?? I can possibly understand the thinking by younger women in their 30's to mid 50's but there seems to be a large and growing amount of women beyond the mid 50's and into their late 60's that are not interested either!!! |

my hubbys 71 and i always thought i prefered older men until i started meeting them on the internet.
i found most of them are fussier than young men and they prefer much younger women. also they are grumpier. |

I'm 53 next month and only play with men my age...when I can find them as most are looking for teenagers!  |

Interesting... well all i can say to that is we're not all tarred with the same brush and contrary to belief i have quite a young outlook on life and easily get on with young or old.... its all a state of mind!!! P |

Think every one jusy has there prefrences im looking for guys older than me im 26 but only up to around 40 because im extremly fussy with who im attracted to altho if george clooney or the likes sign up im available haha |

Personally I don't want to mix with 30 somethings. I'm happy growing old disgracefully with people my own age rather than trying to pass my mutton off as spring lamb!  |

Ooooh sweeping generalisation that, if ya don't mind me saying... Hand on heart, I can honestly say I've never felt the need to get back in touch 'wid me yoof, innit' by going out and purposely (and maybe subconsciously) looking for a much younger woman, maybe even a teenager. Have played with one or two women who are half my age, yes, but because they happened to press the right buttons for me and, more amazingly, I must have done for them..!
However, in one way I would tend to agree with the OP in that, because this is the cold, clinical internet and not face to face in the real world, the 'age barriers' (and they ARE there..) come into play and do seem to influence people's thinking and attitudes, which then transpose into the 'p' word (preferences).
I noticed a huge difference the moment I hit 51 and was blocked out by a substantial number of profiles and message filters, but the same is true at 40, 45 and so on...
Just the name of the game I suppose...

Now im a 42 yr old that just thinks there are some just beautiful looking girls in there 50s on this site but theres such a mix you cant be fixed in your out look and be happy with the fact were all here to long in the ground I say lol  |

Very rarely is anything of worth just dropped into your lap, I love older guys that have lived amazing lives and continue to be extremely active...if you look hard enough, you'll find them!  |

See, there's the hypocrisy of this 'age' thing. Dear ole Mr Clooney is just 5 weeks OLDER than me - but why would you drop your age limits for him? Because with all his publicity you have been sold on his personality (well, maybe a little more than that) and that's the problem for a lot of us 'old gits' on sites like this. We may well have a personality which makes any woman swoon (Okay - I can dream!!!) but thanks to those lovely age filters, we don't get a look in and you may never know what you could be missing, and vice-versa.
But... go to a club or party and I don't know how many times I have seen pairings which would never happen in a month of Sundays on here, age-wise... and all down to personal contact and, more often, personality.
And btw I wasn't saying YOU are a hypocrite, miniminx

I like this Fella... talks my kinda language and totally agree with statements you made... this virtual world is a killer for us older fella's although you do have a head start on me being some 13yrs younger plus a delicious woman you have to play with so you're already made up!!! |

It's all about erections as men age their body changes, many need medication for diabeties, heart etc and a side effect of their drugs is penile disfunction. There are sites for mature people and I am sure you would be most welcome |

Yes and a lot of men my age and older have trouble keeping their errections when using a condom so they dont bother to use them, sometimes. |

The ONLY reason guys my age have problems keeping it up is because they don't have the balls to go and see their GP, and say the words 'I have a problem'.. and take it from there.
I had to thanks to two periods on Fluoxetine which left me with a bit of ED and it was a piece of p.... er, cake!
That was 18 months ago. Now I need the Viagra less, but do take it for a meet to make sure I don't let anyone down.
But ED problems come from a number of causes: less active thyroid, testosterone drop etc etc. They're just a part of ageing and there's no avoiding it.
But... we are NOT our Grandfathers and we CAN get medication to help these days. You just have to grow a pair (lol!) and ASK FOR IT!!!!
