I'm taking part in a professor's study on depression later in the month.
Just got off the phone with one of the lady doctors. I've never heard such a disgusted grunt as I did when I mentioned the name ATOS Healthcare. LOL.
Is this a sign that people are ready to take this seriously? |

"My psychiatrist has written to the local mp"
I actually went to my local MP about ATOS and he nearly got me half a year's back pay from when the dole refused to pay me before I was classed. From January to July. They used a loophole to only pay me four months but they were rabid about me having gone over their heads without even taking it to court! |

"
Dont get down on depression, go for a walk, take exercise, kick the neighbours cat. Just do something.
"
Thanks for the advice, I'm way ahead of you, was born with complications that were only diagnosed two years later (they say if its missed for more than half a year, it can lead to brain damage and various health issues for life) and had depression for over twenty years.
I never took anti depressants which is why they're so eager to speak with me, I defy odds!

Atos is con dwp will not provideveven though required under freedom of information request whether those doing interviews are indeed gps.
This is about reducing benegit payments itsekf good idea but far too many who are genuinely ill being forced into work which is disgraceful.
Piece of info for anyone who us deemed fit by atos and feel its wrong must appeal in writing to dwp ensure you state you want payment in appeal they do not tell you this but they have to pay you. Used to be full rate but now its a rate inbetween jsa and esa. |

Surely you can still manage to kick a cat though? A small dog maybe.

You're right about all that. I researched it extensively after they actually went and edited and FICTIONALISED my health report and changed the things I had told them.
I'm now training to volunteer at the local homeless shelter to give back to society and educate myself some more because the stigma of being in my situation stops me getting a job. Out of work for a year and a half now and not even on benefits for most of that. |
