I(the Mr)use the veg water to deglaze the roasting tin topped up from the kettle if necessary. Then dissolve 3 beef stock cubes in it. And use the left over Yorkshire pudding batter to thicken.

yummy

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I make two sorts. One is thinly sliced red onions in beef stock boiled hard until reduced (a little balsamic vinegar helps there).

The other is gravy granules.

Depends on the meat - always try to use a different recipe to compliment whatever I am roasting

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

On the rare occasions I make gravy and use powder it usually involves the use of a hand blender to get rid of the lumps!

Why would you have left over Yorkshire pudding batter??? That means less Yorkshire in the oven

West Yorkshire

I deglaze with water from kettle, I tend to sit the roast on veg to cook - couple of carrots and a quartered onion, so lots of flavour in the tin.

Then either cornflour, plain flour mixed with cold water, or pour a bit of the liquid from the tin into the yorkshire pud mix jug (after yorkshires in oven!) swirl it about and pour back into tin.

Couple of stock cubes and season to taste.
