he shagged a team mates ex girlfriend.
No, I don't think he should be castigated by the masses. His family will sort him. He cheated on his wife, but if you are going to sack everyone who cheats, there will be loads of jobs at the Job Centre |

Its a little more than that, the MARRIED father of two ( John Terry) had an affair with his BEST MATES girlfriend, possibly made her pregnant then paid her £1 million to "hush" everything up, then threatened newspapers with court (which he tried and failed) if they printed the story.
Good footballer, ~~ Yes.
Good role model , ~~ No.
Captain ???? , no, not for me |

The bloke is a scumbag for cheating on his wife and kids, and deserves everything he gets. However, I don't think its got anything to do with anyone else, outside his family.
It takes 2 to tango. The woman he cheated with was not in a relationship, she was an EX girlfriend of a team mate, some papers say his best mate. Are we condemning her too?
Adulterous behaviour has gone on since someone invented the marriage vows.
Let those without sin..........

The question was, should he be England captain, my reply was to that question. ( I do think she was guilty too ) |

Capello phoned Wayne Bridge and said 'I've just spoke to John Terry and he's lost the captains armband, would you do me a favour, have a look under your bed for it.

I'm undecided on what to think about the captain position, on one hand if he does the best job in that role on the field then he should keep it, if his role as captain places him as a 'role model' then maybe not, however, I do believe that parents should be their children's role model and we shouldn't rely on footballers and other 'celebs' to be our children's role model. |

does the private life matter ? iv seen and chucked footballers out of clubs for their behaviour , both up here and down south , not going to mention names but some were much worse than others . to be honest yeah what he did morally speaking was entirely wrong , but football is his job and in my opnion your private life and work life are two very very different things , be interesting to see what wayne bridge says about it all if anyting and what the women says she not exactly innocent in all this , personallly im going for the apology and for him to keep the captaincy . |

Like it or not the captain of England is a role model for thousands of kids and if he has any humility he would step down.
What annoys me is the little slut who he is alleged to have been cheating with was supposed to be a good friend of his wife and she has now reportedly been offered at least £250,000 for her side of the sordid story.

Sadly a captain has more of a duty than just let his feet do the talking on the field, he is a role model for thousands of children and a ambassador for the England football team. |

What other word would you use to describe a woman who cheated with her friends husband?
I think it is very accurate. |

As I said, that's one problem with society, it's about time parents took the position of 'role model' |

I just didn't see the same kind of reference to the guy that did the cheating. |

AND why players/clubs make millions from replica shirt sales, if they take the benefits of "fans" then they should act accordingly. |

The priviledged position of England Football Captain means that he his held up as a perfect example to young boys just starting out in the game. They are taught that it's not ok to cheat in football so how can that message be delivered effectively if they are encouraged to idolise a man who thinks nothing of cheating on his wife with the girlfriend of his best friend, a man who then arranges for a termination for an embarrassing pregancy andd then tries to gag the press from reporting the whole sordid affair.
This man was also voted Dad of the Year 2009!
He has to go, and if he had a shred of decency the issue would have been settled already as the honourable thing to do would be to resign the Captaincy.
If he doesn't go quietly, he should be pushed. |

If you'd cheat on your wife then you'd not see anything wrong with cheating in a game of football. Imagine having your boss knocking your wife or girlfriend up, you knowing about it and him still being able to tell you what to do. |

pssst... I want Man Utd to win a fourth consecutive premiership title so if sacking Terry as England Captain causes him to have problems on the pitch for Chelsea then that's exactly what I want to happen lol... can't stand the bloke anyway and his wife is much better looking than his shag piece so he's a dopey twat in my book. |

They guys a hypocrite, funny how he had No respect for his wife, funny how he had NO respect for his children, yet, he used the judiciary by asking the to REPECT his privacy!!
His “family” needs him more than the Country does.
If any tears need to be shed, they'll be for his family, the same family HE chose to to forget about whilst dipping his wick!! |

Newcastle and Gateshead |
I had a problem with him being the england captain in the first place... but lets have a look at the wider picture so to speak...
this is the man who was making fun in a d*unken haze at american tourists who were hotel stuck in the hotel the day of 9/11 .....
this is the man who though the could get away with parking his car in a disabled bay outside of a hotel and leave it there......because it was closer to the entrance.....
this is the man who used his position as england and chelsea captain to profit from it by showing people tours of the ground and to set up personal meetings...
and this is the man who cheated on his best mate girlfriend.. and his wifes ex best friend.... and thought he could hide it (the reason he gave on the superinjuction wasn't the privacy of his family, but the effect it may have on his financial interests and sponsorship deals.......)
do I want him to be the ambassador for england... hell no...... |

if the rules were the same for all yes
but if your an MP you can get caught in a bed with a couple of rent boys , or sucking a blokes cock in the public toilets and thats ok FA happens
so if they dont have to step down why should he ? |

It's hardly the same is it. Little boys up and down the country can aspire to be Captain of England but only one person can ever be King of England.
Couple that with the fact that Diana wasn't Charles preferred bride of choice and it's not that difficult to see a recipe for disaster.
Charles position as first in line to the throne is unassailable and apart from being jailed for murder or treason he can pretty much do as he pleases without breaking the line of succession. |

I wish it will by pass him and go straight to William!
Ann would have done a better job than Charles too, IMHO. |

Your a real sick puppy Snoggy you know that??
Anyway does it really matter who this bloke (I had never heard of before this all started) had an affair with?? In the bigger picture should it affect his job??
If I had an affair I would not lose my job, would I?? Would you??
Does it affect his ability to do his job??
Yes he is in the public eye and as such should know better but lets be realistic since when has that ever stopped anyone from sleeping around??
I used to work with a guy who thought as manager it was his duty to try it on with every woman who worked there til I threatened to tell his wife and head office hey presto he decided it was better to just do his own work and not hit on me any longer saved a young girl from a fate worse than death too from what I heard
