If you met someone a couple of times in hotels... then you find out they ask people back to their place... but they never asked you back there.... What would you think? |

Good question, SH...not something that's ever crossed my mind, dunno if it's happened or not to me...think it might be that they are happy to keep those they invite in the cellar, so you've probably had a lucky escape |

It applies to me. I only have a few of people I meet at home, from the early days when I was part of a couple and I don't see them that often. Everyone else is seen at a club or hotel and, in one case, his home. Maybe there are men wondering why and I hadn't thought of it before. |

"I would ask them to pay the next hotel bill!"
Why?
If I had someone back to my place and they refused to see me at theirs that is a different issue. If we've only met at hotels but he sees other people at his place that's his business. Just as it's mine on the few people I see at my place.

"I'd much rather meet at a hotel - saves all the effort to make the place half decent, and the tidying up after! "
I agree! As I work from home when I have a lot of separate jobs on there are piles of paper everywhere with all the research materials for each job. Getting away to a nice hotel for some sex is like a holiday. |

True, and lets face it, your home is your private retreat. You can up and leave a hotel if you feel uncomfortable for whatever reason, but a bit awkward in your own house? |

It was one such meet and a stalker that made me decide not to meet at home. |

Depends on the hotel. Most single men tend to live in what I would charitably call 'bachelor chic', whereas a nice hotel is a luxury. However a cheapo night in an Etap or Travelodge would not make me desperate to meet again. |

I don't do cheap hotels.
I like Hiltons or Jurys inn.
The headboards at Jury's Inn take more pounding I've found.

People we meet on our travels do make us adjust. 99.9% of my meets are at my home so whether someone accommodated or not was never an issue until I said to one playmate (whilst in my bed) our next meet would be at his as my daughter would be home from uni. His response: I don't let people I've met via the net into my home, it's not a knocking shop!
After I chucked him out of my house I've never met anyone who doesn't accommodate as I assume they think their home is sacrosanct! |
