Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
We haven't had a good recipe thread in a while.
I am planning to make chilli crab linguine this evening. Do you think if I add some chorizo it will enhance it or make it taste awful?
East recipe ideas also welcome as I have to fend for myself for the next 17 days.
The first seven haven't been that interesting so far. |

That's only helpful if you are coming over here one day in the next couple of weeks to cook me your mean crispy duck. Well, are ya? |

"Chorizo makes everything taste better lol"
I think that might be true. I figure it works with scallops so why not crab? Although crab, scallops and chorizo might be even better.
Anyone have any fresh scallops? |

My merry go round passed your stop last week. We need to wait for it to revolve again. |

I'd leave it out. I'm not a great fan of meat/ fish combos. |

"If you have a lime add that to it...like goes amazing with crab
Lime not like "
Thanks, I've decided to not use the chorizo today and make something else with the chorizo another day. Crab, lime, chilli and garlic will do. |

Chorizo and spicy cous cous.
Make spicy cous cous with fried in oil diced garlic and onion, chilli flakes, paprika, ground cumin, add cous cous and give it a stir, add boiling water, add a knob of butter, cover until the water is absorbed, add chopped coriander and a splash of lemon juice and some toasted sesame seeds, give it a stir, cover again to retain the heat, and cook the chorizo.
Pan-fried diced chorizo with garlic, diced peppers, and spring onions.
One of my favourite camping meal. ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

Chicken and chickpeas
1 onion
garlic - 1 to 3 cloves depending on preference
chorizo
chicken thighs
1 tin plum toms
1 tin chickpeas
Can be cooked on hob, in oven or in slow cooker.
Put a little oil in pan and saute chopped chorizo, chopped onion and chopped garlic till onions are beginning to soften and oil begins to run from chorizo. Don't let the onions brown.
Add chicken thighs skin side down to begin with until they brown and turn over to brown other side.
When brown add chickpeas and tomatoes.
Turn heat down to a gentle bubble, cover and cook till chicken is cooked through.
Serve with rice or cous cous or bread. |

I won't read every post Lickety but you are really playing with my food faves.....
Do NOT put chorizo in.....
Do NOT put chilli in ....
Jesus ...
Just the Crab Linguine please.
Heavy on the Crab.
Some flavours are piquant and unique....
Leave them alone. |

Not too much if you're using Chorizo. You've got chilli in there already and both will clash with the crab which is delicate and will no doubt get lost. |
