How many of you fabbers are into cycling.? I love my road cycling and start getting twitchy and frustrated if i cant get out for a decent cycle. Average about 150 miles a week when possible but am fairly new to the sport having only got serious back in 2009 when i knocked the 40 aday habit on the head and decided to try and get fit... Hinsight as they say is a marvelous thing as if i'd known as a youth how addictive cycling can become and how much i enjoy it, i'd never of taken up the ... oh well you should never look back and regret anything you've done in the past, just look forward and live life... |

"These threads are like bbw threads. They never end well lol the cyclists bitch about the motorists and the motorists bitch about the cyclists "
What happens if you have a BBW cyclist clashing with a BBW motorist.
I can't ride a bike. |

I took my first hit on the bike the other day. I indicated to go around a few parked cars a car and a van went past me and as I looked over my shoulder it was safe then as I just about get past the parked cars some woman hits my arm with her wing mirror.
She didn't even stop. I had to catch up with her, for her to claim it was my fault.
Hasn't stopped my cycling but it was very scary hearing that initial thud. |

Has a driver and a cyclist, I just chuckle now on my bike when some driver does something stupid I just shake my head and chuckle, what else can you do? No point getting angry chances are your never going to catch them up again, and when I drive I try to give cyclist lots of room and pass them safely, some cyclist make it very hard sometimes though,
Just done my longest one off ride today 53 miles with 5000 feet of climbing I'm nearly dead now lol, I'm in training for the Manchester 100 |

I have caught many a motorist up when they have done something stupid near me, they seem to get surprised that a cyclist can do over 30mph on the road. |

So many road users worry about how others are driving and pick them up on mistakes. But we all have made silly errors let's face it.
A good road user is someone who can read the road ahead and always expect danger and be ready to avoid it.
An accident isn't always about who was in the right and who was in the wrong but also about whether either road user could of done something to avoid the accident but didn't then blame lays with them to. Its a standard question on a witness accident form |
