I love to text and chat so have given my mobile number to quite a few ladies .
Some have become great friends . Some with hindsight was not such a good idea .
So my question is " How long would you need too message someone before you gave out your number ? Xx  |

I only give mine out when a meet is arranged, not before, had too many abuse it like texting abuse at 5.30 am because I was chatting to a guy and dared go to bed  |

I only give out my number to those I trust and agreed to meet now. I've been on the receiving end of nasty texts and a two stalkers so don't give my number out willy nilly  |

My phone number is extremely important to me.
For me it isn't something that I can just change for may reasons. I guess that I'd need to "trust" the lady that I'm giving my number to.
I'm currently studying obsessive behaviour and having someone who is suffering from obsessive disorder, infatuation or just can't take "no" for an answer can be very scary, even worse if they know where you live.
My advice for what it's worth is never give out your phone number, use some other medium to communicate with. Unless you are happy to change your number of course.

Only a few have got my no, those ive been chatting with for a while and those ive met, but seems once you meet them texting and messaging grinds to a almost halt. Must be something I don't do lol |

I've a cheap phone I use for meets. People get that number when we arrange the meet, but it's not on until a few hours before the agreed time.
If I have met several times and am comfortable with the person, know they're not a wierdo, then they get my personal number. |

I can normally tell pretty quick who I'd give my number to.
If they are from the forums..it's easier to gauge because I'd already have a pretty good idea of them over a stretch of posts/comments.
If it was someone totally random...it all fepends on my gut feeling.
I trust my gut and it's usually right one way or another.

I don't have a problem with anyone having my number abuse it that's a different story.
I treat people's space with respect and will not rude text or ring to cause offence and expect the same back  |

I don't give mine out till we've played at least once and I'm sure I'll want to play again.
I've had a stalker and three guys who think I should be available to text and chat all the time and get funny when I say it's not appropriate. So now I don't give my number.
There are a few who ask for it when chatting but if they are not happy with my reasons then that's fine - I move on to the next.  |

I always give my number out before arranging any meet as for me if I can't talk to them on phone won't be able to talk face to face. If all goes pear shaped I'm very good at just ignoring text and calls from those I don't wish to communicate with. |

I was just looking for a meet for next week and as I was looking through the profiles (ladies your looking lovely by the way) one ladie has posted her phone number on her status, wtf surely she should know better, I can understand a bloke doing it but I would have thought a woman would be a bit more carefull |

I don't give out my phone number. If we meet someone then sometimes we do give a number for contact but it is always my OHs number and they are aware of that. He's never had texts from people wanting to talk dirty |

Few more then I would've have my number, I am now very protective of my number and only if I have arranged a meet do I give it out, as I already carry two phones (work & personal) I do not want a 3rd play phone.
I get a bit annoyed when on the 2nd messages someone starts asking for a number or what's app & I really didn't get on with Kik so deleted it. |

I have learned not to give my number out Willy nilly, have had stalkers & total freaks calling me at all hours but now my phone is super smart & is only audiable between 7am & midnight
Also quite happy to pass numbers to the police if I get harrassed |

we use a diff phone for swinging so its not much if an issue, you can always change the sim card |

message them just a couple of times as sometimes i think its quicker to say hi on the phone rather than sending lots of messages on here.
i dont call them or text them unless they do first though. |

i have just changed my number and we using hubs number in future as i hate when u get a text out of the blue and they take forever to say who they are. Guys are less inclined to text if its the male halfs number..or like someone else suggested..a seperate phone  |

We have a cheap 'play' phone which we use, I never carry it around with me,except if we are on our way to meet someone, it is normally lives in a draw.
One 3 people on here have MY number, just because because I have met a person and played with them in a club, doesn't mean I trust them with my real life
