Clever little chaps aren't they ? Replaced all my bird feeders with 'squirrel proof' feeders. Watching them this morning, they managed to shake and swing them enough, to scatter the seeds out of the holes on the sides, then just hopped down to the floor and mopped them up. Watching wildlife is a joy. Anyone else enjoy ?

Yep feed them everyday in my garden. Have a squirrel box, fill it up with monkey nuts, keeps them happy. Seems to keep them away from the bird feeders. Two cats help out as well

I am trying squirrel proof feeders to discourage them. Had a bad experience some years go when they got into my loft and wreaked havoc.

Wildlife does fascinate me.

More so in the winter when they really come close whilst looking for food.

Coming from a pest controller you would be better to eradicate them than try to stop them getting on your bird feeders , they have found a reliable food source and will breed even more now , hope this helps , xxxxx

My loft didn't have anything so tasty, so they chewed timbers and the damn wiring. Cost me a fortune

Not really. I just think you should only kill stuff you plan to eat. Grey squirrels need to go.

.

I had one that used to come in the house and pinch the cats biscuits, just ignored the cats and they were too cowardly to attack

It does help, just put another bag out for them. Breed fellas breed.
