So been on the site a bit and having a blast meeting people. Been talking with a couple on the site and even talked over the phone. They seemed pretty cool and I thought in time we would meet up and have fun. The guy did most of the talking and we got along good said he was a gamer like me and we had some things in common. Girl was cool too very open and friendly. I havent been on much in a couple days and was going through some drama with my ex. They message me today after I made my status of: Watching Jack Reacher pretty good so far. They send me a message that says: What are you gonna do? I reply: What do you mean? With my ex? They say: No are you gonna watch? (Now remember I said I was watching a movie.). Then they send: Are you there? Now when I checked the last two from them it had been 15 min. I try to responf with watch what and theyve blocked me!! Is it me and Im an ass or are they just bi-polar? Is this common here? |

Um yes I do actually. I dont literally mean they are bi-polar I mean could be who knows lol. Im just saying they completely did a 180 cause I didnt respond within 15 min of a random, vague, and incoherent set of messages. Im sorry if you are or know someone that is bi-polar I know it can be very difficult sometimes. I was just making a statement about the drastic attitude change and bi-polar is the word I used.

Ok 2 things A: Whats with the attitude? Did you just respond to troll me? B: I said that they asked was I watching then am I there within 15 min. I tried to respond and they had blocked me. Now you can assume they were asking if I was watching a movie. Which I clearly had just said as my staus. But all theyre message said was (Are you watching...) It started with (What are you gonna do...) About what?! Am I watching what?! Thats all the messages said! Now going off this logic if they WERE asking am I watching a movie thats redundant. I JUST said I was in my status so to ask me in a message is... Dumb! That being said if they think I am then why get pissed and block me when I dont immediatly respond? Did you read my whole post? They went from oh youre so cool lets talk we like you we have shit in common. Then jump to fuck you youre blocked cause you didnt respond to an unfinished sentence fast enough? Youre getting very defensive about some people you dont even fucking know. Are you them? Lol. |

Oh and to be very clear they knew the situation with my ex and the last time I talked to them thats what we talked about. Thats why I assumed thats what they were asking when they said. What are you gonna do? Now you have even more context and it makes less sense still! All that aside regardless of what theyre asking and what I thought they were getting at. Is it not a sign of a crazy person if they block you cause you didnt respond to a message within 15 min? Regardless of what they were TRYING to say thats not normal and if thats the kind of attitude they have then I dodged a fucking bullet! |

Thats the thing weve been broken up for almost 2 months Im not worried about her at all. She wanted to try and talk it out but it degenerated into another fight like always. Which was only a reminder of why Im not with her. I was honest and respectful to them and gave them the heads up just in case things turned around. When it didnt I told them and they were kinda happy that it didnt lol. But after this Im like wtf?! But no I am saying oh well its their loss they complained about not doing many meets or it not working out and I see why. I made this thread to tell someone about my astonishment and confusion. I cant exactly make this a facebook status lol. |

Ice Cubes cool as fuck, is there a template for attractiveness ? Must we all look like what the media determines as being good looking and the 'in' thing.
It's a compliment. I reckon you got off lightly there.

Ice Cube the Hip Hop legend over the pond there where the OP is.
Reading your comment again it just looks tbh that they were wanting to up the chat at their pace and you not being aware of their horn, misreading it as in what you were watching and then relating it to your ex they lost the 'vibe' with you.
Perhaps this may have been a sign of their maturity, the three of you are very young, that's not meant to be patronising at all but a fact |

Bipolar disorder, also known as bipolar affective
disorder, manic-depressive disorder, or manic
depression, is a mental illness classified by psychiatrists as a
mood disorder. Individuals with bipolar disorder experience
episodes of a frenzied mood known as mania alternating with
episodes of depression.
Mania can occur with different levels of severity. At milder
levels of mania, or "hypomania", individuals appear energetic,
excitable, and may in fact be highly productive. As mania
becomes more severe, individuals begin to behave erratically and
impulsively, often making poor decisions due to unrealistic ideas
about the future, and may have great difficulty with sleep. At
the most severe level, individuals can experience very distorted
beliefs about the world known as psychosis.
Individuals who experience manic episodes also commonly
experience depressive episodes; some experience a mixed state in which features of both mania and depression are present at the same time. Manic and depressive episodes last from a few days to several months.
So again how is this not bi-polar? Even still I said way up in the thread its just the word i used maybe next time Ill say mood swing |

Well we don,t know their personal situation, they could have faced mental illness issues or still be. It could also be someone close to them or just having empathy for those that are bi polar.
It's not nice, God only knows Juice and have been through more than our fare share of shit (YES even to the point of wondering if we were ourselves)
Probably best we leave it there or we'll get attacked. Not like i,m in the slightest bit arsed it's just easier all around and we don,t come on here for constant bickering.
The fact is though you were quick to jump to that conclusion because you may quite rightly have been pissed off by how the situation panned out.
Hope you enjoy the site fella, no doubt see you around the forums. Good luck, have fun and stay safe. |

Firstly stop being so needy. Maybe you had got along well with this couple previously. Yes it sounds as if they expected you to jump instantly when they messaged and of course they blocked you when you didn't. But so what. They can do that. They are not obliged to continue talking with you, meet with you or do anything with you.
There are many couples and single women who have a superior attitude towards men. They expect men to jump to their demands straight away. They get away with it because men like you allow them too.
It is only sex, are you really that desperate for it that you'd jump to peoples demands. Move on and think nothing more of it, go and message others. People block all the time, they are not obliged to have sex with those they've chatted to.
Secondly the bipolar issue. It is clear that you know nothing about this illness and are using the term 'bipolar' to describe people who you think are acting in an unusual way, using it as an insult. You've probably read about bipolar in a magazine and have now adopted this term to insult people who don't act as you expect
It is offensive to conclude that people have bipolar just because they didn't want to continue talking to you. It is easier for you to come to some half baked conclusion that people are mentally ill rather than the more likely conclusion that they just don't want you.

He was clearly pissed off at how the whole thing went and concluded.
He,s new on here
It must have baffled him
He almost certainly saw it as a crazy conclusion.
It was for whatever reason a foolish choice of words but I don't see any harm done. He had apologised. |

I think people are focusing too much on the bi-polar thing. I get that he was using it to describe the apparent and sudden change in attitude, and not actually make a medical diagnosis! So if everyone would give the guy a break and stop leaping to take offence then that could be more helpful.
Now I reckon your well out of it. They were just on a power trip and had a fit when you weren't available the minute they wanted you. Clearly they have no idea of how to communicate that they wanted you to come round, and instead decided to let you find out by using the force.
Learn from it and move on.

even if they are bi polar so what, steven fry is and he is a very inteligent man, so i wouldnt say it was an insult, just something you thought.
like you might think when someone acts a bit funny are they normal, or have they been drinking or something.
i have been annoyed with people before because they have expected me to answere their message straight away, when sometimes your not sure about them or what to say.
or they get too pushy, it can put you off. i have blocked people before when i was in a bad mood, then unblocked them again later.
some people you have a fairly good idea that they arent right for you so its best to block them and message someone else instead. |

All well and good copying information over you have found on the Internet, but you clearly have no idea and suddenly you are a psychiatrist
Just because someone blocks you does not mean they suffer from any type of mental illness!
No wonder there is still stigma attached to mental illnesses when people make such ridiculous statements like you! |

I understand that he was perplexed and doesn't understand why they behaved in such a manner, but imo it gives no right to medicalise or assume that therefore means they have a mental illness or their behaviour is akin to one. |

Regardless of what condition you perceive them to have, I'm sure if they happen to read this forum, they'll be delighted to read your opinion about them and it is likely that any other prospective meets will be a little wary if you are intending to start a forum post about them every time things don't quite go your way. |

I also get that that the OP was left confused by the couple, one minute all getting on, things in common etc, the next a block in place. I accept its frustrating but a commonplace occurrence.
But to state there's something wrong with people after they've done this is rather naive. We can't give excuses like, he's new, he's confused, he's American, as what excuses are we going to make for the influx of other guys who also come out with daft reasons why they've been knocked back.
We all have to accept rejection, we should be adult about it

Ugh are we still doing this? I have apologized as much as Im going to. I dont walk on egg shells to avoid offending people but Im not out to upset anyone either. No Im not a psychiatrist and Im not giving a diagnoses. Its the word that I used so please get over it. I left it alone so you should do the same. I do love the person who said they werent into me. When I clearly said we chatted on the phone and they were all gushy about talking to me. Not to sound arrogant or cocky but they were being childish and to be fair so was I for making the thread. Yes Im new and yes Im American ( I love how to some it seems a negative). I dont need excuses made for me or my actions if you dont like what I have to say you have every right to have your opinions as I will have mine. Stop being so butt hurt and get over it. |
