"Just been told I'm a freaky mother as I'm so open and calm about everything lol"
I have an open and calm way of parenting and it works for me as I have a lot of respect and appreciation from my daughter plus all her mates think I'm cool |

My daughter says she knows when she has overstepped the mark as I am always calm and fun and only shout when it is really necessary. A constantly shouting parent means it lessens the impact, she is very good a 'slingin a deefy' tho (scottish expression for managing to appear totally unmoved when being told off or called on to do something! |
