Glamping, luxury camping, whatever you call it, is about more than just staying in a yurt, or a log cabin or anything in between some very strange looking places in the woods but look fun. It’s about a completely different way of going on holiday. Some lovely places you can go Glamping even nude in a yurt on the Norfolk coast wow .. Gipsy caravans allsorts. love the look of them yurts.

part of life's rich tapestry and a different experience from rural Norfolk. plus i am happy to both take things down and put things up so you wouldn't have to lift a finger

my first non garden camping excursion (around 20 years ago) involved 3 of us in a new tent (obviously i didn't try it out in advance to make sure it was ok before i arrived in the arse end of nowhere) and between us we had 2 old sleeping bags, 1 roll matt, 1 old blanket and a large bag of 'special oregano' for a weeks camping- was OK but i very quickly wanted a few home comforts.

Now when i go i have a tried and tested 5 person tent for myself (and a friend if i'm lucky ) a tent carpet (i'm not joking), luxury air mattress with bedding, double burner cooker/grill with stand and a collection of cookware and condiments, utility cupboard, big comfy folding chair, table, gazebo, fire pit, wind breaks, solar lighting, coolbox and if i really want to i have a full electrical hook up kit.... The 'oregano' is now more likely to be oregano for cooking wit.

i was glamping before it had a name

the one thing funnier than complete newbies on a site trying to put up a brand spanking new tent for the very first time is a complete newbie trying to put up a brand spanking new tent whilst having a domestic with their OH, who when asked 'would you like a hand with that m8?'..

says 'No! am fine ta' in a stressed tone which when said OH calls him an idiot and storms off rises to shouting at her backside disappearing to the pub down the road..

love camping..

You do realise you'll be outcasts?

It's like the mutual disdain displayed between campers and caravaners

I discovered this at the weekend and it really appeals, some have proper beds and full ensuite facilities with electric for hair dryers etc.

Currently I class a travelodge or premier inn as camping!

I love camping/glamping our tent has carpet so snuggle under your feet in the morning and a walking in wardrobe.

We have just added an extension to our tent and it awesome plus the fact that at nearly 6ft I can stand up straight in it.

Just because I am in a tent it doesn't mean I have to lower my high standards.

We also have electricity or the kids wouldn't come. lol

I hope it stops raining before I go on my annual camping holiday.
