As an ex stand up I would imagine that Frankie Boyle is a marmite comedian who polarises opinion ?
I find his edgy material largely amusing and have seen him live several times.
I'm not keen on comedians who have a constant run of lukewarm gags that give you the odd smile.
I like the type of humour that is often on so called taboo subjects and that results in 80 per cent of the audience laughing out loud and the remaining 20 per cent walking out offended.
That was my style as a comedian and it's what amuses me.

His departure is whyI stopped watching Mock The Week and the unfunny Russell Howard.
Here's another overrated "comedienne"... Josie Long. The female equivalent of Russell Howard.
I think if these so called stand ups relied on their actual solo work they'd soon be back I to obscurity.
At least Frankie is edgy and original and expressed the thoughts many of us are too affairs to say.
