So carrying on from the the asian thread..
It has been said that calling black people black is stereotyping as some are white?
Orientals don't have different eyes? So a chinese man can have european shaped eyes?
I d on't find dark skin attractive.. I'm not here for long term love so for me personality isn't that important.
Also was said that saying its a prefence is cos you can't be truthful by saying you don't like asians etc.. Maybe someone should tell my half indian son this! |

So by the logic said not all bbw are overweight?
If you don't find bbw attractive its cos you hate them?
Straight people don't find the same sex attractive cos they are stereotyping them? |

As travel has progressed and become more accessible to all humankind, it is inevitable that all races will eventually become more watered down so to speak. The same can be said of language.

I have read the other thread. But your post is totally rambling and completely illogical. Therefore makes no sense.
Calling a black person black is not stereotyping them. It's describing the colour of their skin. A black person cannot be white because they're, erm, black. Unless you mean mixed race?
Why would you hate someone just because you're not attrated to them? If that was the case I would hate all of my friends.
Straight people are not stereotyping people of the same sex by not finding them attractive. They just aren't attracted to people of the same sex because they're straight and not gay. That's sexuality, not stereotyping.
So basically I am seriously confused by your post and initially assumed you'd had a bit of a drink.... |

carrying on yes brenda, then i dont know ur circumstances about having a half indian son..regardless if u had him or not, u had sex with an indian man, perhaps u had sex just for the fuck of it at the time...
not trying to judge, but as I previously stated, there are many types of people in races that dont fit stereotypical images of that particular race.
is it not like me saying brenda ur bum is big, but great its not black, but saying it is black, cos black woman have big bums...
I tend not to sit on any race leaning, despite my own colouring..and I can find sexual attraction on people I have never previously thought I would be attracted to(for me, its been living with my white side of my family, so other people were rare to meet, let alone think sexually about)..but in my open lifestyle, Ive met too many people to discount them as sexually attractive, especially if its in regards to race
it is another cyclic thread about preferences, and almost everyone agrees on them.what we dont agree on, is broad generalizations that make no scientific sense, and its not PC talk, it is basically just an understanding of actual diversity(not the group) |

I read the asian thread and nowhere did it say that peoples preferences were to be ignored. However paddy made a good point following on from anothers post-not all black people are black. Not all east asians have the epicanthic fold.
What the asian post was trying to say was posting that you won't meet asians because a guy who happened to be asian upset you 20 years ago is stereotyping a whole race because of the behaviour of one person. |

I was in a relationship with my sons father for 5 years.. I'm not shallow when it comes to a relationship like I am when it comes to nsa.
Regardless of what different features some blacks or asians may have, it doesn't overcome the dark skin problem.
If preference is stereotyping on race then it has to be said for every preference.. Age, gender, size etc..
Everyone is entitled for preference regardless of their reasons for it. afterall everyone is entitled to their own perception of attraction. |

It was said that a preference is a stereotype and a lame excuse for saying you hate all asians.. Shocking really
Also who said they had a bad experience with one person |

Most threads about race and preference make me want to poke some peoples eyes out so I think ill just leave it thanks |

This thread has been very confusing and extremely difficult to understand but I think, perhaps, I've finally got what you're trying to say.
It is true that expressing a preference could indeed be based upon a stereotype, but this is surely based upon the extent of the preference. For instance, a true "preference" indicates a tendency to prefer one thing over another and doesn't exclude other options.
However a "stereotype" tends to exclude other options, usually based on narrowly defined parameters, and in general tends to be negative.
The race issue is always emotive, but just because someone doesn't find a particular race "attractive" doesn't necessarily mean that same person won't have close friends and acquaintances with whom they get on extremely well.
So essentially there is conflict. Context is everything. |
