I was just a tad young to be into it at the time, we used to hang around and see the group of local punks in awe of them. Discovered The Clash and The Damned etc slightly later than they did. |

Was to young at the time to remember them but my uncle took me to see the damned a few years ago and I've never looked back since.
I love them all

There are loads of punk bands still touring today...the damned, sham, UK subs to name a few..
Theres also a punk fest at Blackpool Aug or Sept can't remember witch month though lol |

Few Favs ... Dead Kennedys, Crass, The Cramps ( anybody remember She Said at Berlin in Manchester?) Vice Squad ... x-ray spex and Siouxsie and the banshees already mentioned but worth another - Germ Free Adolescent still gets a play now and again |

It's not supposed to reach dizzy heights! Plenty of old punk bands still playing, and plenty of 3 and 4 piece pub bands still belting out their tunes for them. |
