Ladies wearing flip flops as daily attire ?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Just departed a supermarket and nearly every lady inside was wearing jazzy flip flops.
When did this trend begin ?
As a child there were only bog standard flip flops and women and children only ever wore them around the beach.
Men never wore them.
I presume it was when they became fashion statements via brands around ten years ago ?
Just an observation as I rather like the look of them on a ladies foot with painted toenails

Ahh but did they have scuzzy cracked heels..
I hate flip flop wearers on escalators... An accident waiting to happen...
There's no ankle support in flip flops so can cause pain for some... |

"I live in my FitFlops. At £60 a pair I don't think of them as just flip flops. My new purple ones are waiting for their first outing."
60 pound a pair eh ?
Get you lady muck.
Like the sound of them as a lady walks also |

Mine don't make the flip flop sound - they are chunkier. I wouldn't spend the £30/40 for the fashion flip flops but the FitFlop ensures my knees don't hurt. |

I love my flip flops and started wearing them in the 1980's when I spent most of my spare time in a wetsuit
They've changed since then. The blingier the better these days! |

The police should have an amnesty on sandals. When they have all been handed in, they should be burnt. Anyone caught wearing them afterwards should be publicly flogged with kippers. If socks are also involved, then the offenders need sectioning
Desert wellies are just wrong. |

Women wear them every time the sun comes out, just that most years that time has been very brief, so you were so amazed to see women outside without full length quilted coats that your eyes didn't reach their feet until the rain came back |

I don't usually wear them but I've had them on daily for the past couple of weeks , the sounds really annoys me though so I end up walking funny to try and stop it |

I agree. I grew up in the home of the "flip flop" or thongs as they are known in Australia. I hate them, they're the footwear of the Bogan! |

Your sandals were gorgeous! Ruby's were nice too.
I wore my first pair of flip flops last weekend. Made me walk like a duck. |
